I’m still at episode 20 , I’ll let you know but honestly the break up so far isn’t bad. At the moment she’s finding herself and for him it’s about learning that he actually loved her.

I think he fell for her long ago but refused to admit it to himself as a way to guard his heart, and as you said it’s also to control the outcome. He didn’t want to get hurt because he believed she only wanted the money and she loved him so much that she would do anything to have him. They honestly are a good pair, they just started off wrong. Also there is no way they can make me believe that all those sweet moments and touch at the start was fake

I think with the ml, he probably tricked himself into thinking he has no feelings as a way to guard himself against the inevitable fallout, but the moment still felt so cruel 😭. Even with everything though I’m still rooting for them because this isn’t even the worst situation we have seen for a cdrama couple.

I like this comment because a lot of persons can’t seem to accept that they both did bad and needed this break up phase. Let’s say he didn’t know , then what? was the I actually love you supposed to fix it all.

I’ll play devil’s advocate here. Yan entered this relationship on a lie and he ran with it for his own benefits. him thinking she’s a gold digger would make it harder to believe that she actually loves him. Be honest with yourself, if you had someone in your life that just lied about everything. He’s absolutely wrong for what he did because he could’ve cut it off from the start since he knew the truth but as I said . they both did each other wrong I needed this punishment phase to find that love for each other.

I do admit that plot line felt a bit wrong and icky with everything that happened but honestly I just pass it off ass the leads doing dumb things in the punishment phase . it’s not enough so far to make me hate him

that’s why I’m confused by him saying he doesn’t love her cause he’s always so gentle with her.

I’m at eps 19 and still don’t get the ml hate that I was seeing online. I believe that both of them needed to suffer a little for how they entered this relationship. They both lied and played each other in some aspects. Now this break up is needed for them to find each other again.
