Last few episodes left such a bad taste in my mouth to the point that I started hoping the ending will miraculously change and Tine will end up with Mil
Am I the only one who seeing how much of an asshole Qi Hao Yu is? Their story is hard to follow but I can still tell that he is not a good person. He comes and goes at will and is always horrible to Han Lu. Why does he keep forgiving him? He said such horrible stuff to Han Lu in ep 14. If I am not mistaken, he basically told Han Lu to go sleep with that president so he can "have his fill of novelty". He better not have some stupid redemption arc, this is so frustrating. Not every couple needs to end up together
This is one of the times when I understand both sides completely. Phob has literally done nothing wrong other than maybe sharing this information with Tinn from the beginning. As for Tinn, he has every right to feel betrayed and heartbroken. The emotions in the latest episode were so intense. All the actors did an amazing job. Also, Inn is not afraid to ugly cry omg, it felt so real, I started crying with him. Against all odds, I am hoping for a happy ending. Ps. I am not even Thai, but those scenes that showed the peaceful way the monarchy was overthrown and the poor people cheered made me so emotional.
What I really love about this show is how both characters love each other equally. Most of the time, one character likes the other way more (usually the top) while the other character is mostly passive and might give up on their love easily due to societal or family pressure *cough* Double Helix *cough* It's refreshing seeing such an equal love where both of them are ready to fight for it.
Yeah fr the problem is this teacher plot start in ep 9 and suddenly their screentime is getting a lot more than…
I feel the same way. Especially the fact that they added scenes that are not canon at all especially that kidnapping scene. I personally skip their scenes because it's not adding much to the plot of the show for me. At least their story is not intertwined with Sheng Wang and Jiang Tian's story cuz that would've actually pissed me off.
Just curious - was the English teacher involved in any subplot in the book?
Not at all. She had a very different personality than in the show and was always there for the students in competitions and such. Remember the scene in ep 10 when Sheng Wang sees his dormmate with a girl? In the book, that was Yang Jing with another male teacher name Zhuang Heng. They weren't kissing but walking together and to sheng wang it looked intimate so he saw himslef and Jiang Tian in them. She was in no way related to the other teachers.
The teachers' plot is so unnecessary. The male teachers are already dating in the book and the English teacher has nothing to do with them. So I don't understand why they would waste time with such nonsense. Other than that, though, I'm glad they are giving us detailed content. Some might think it's slow but I'm quite happy with it. If this season ends with a cliffhanger, hopefully, we'll get a season 2.
Hmm… imo the actor portraying Ling Jiu Shi can’t do emotional scenes (feels stiff/awkward). He’s eye candy…
His character in the book is very out of touch with his emotions so it makes sense for him to act this way. But as the story progresses you can see that he shows his emotions better. Especially towards the end of the show.
