I had the same question, someone told me that there are things that I might not understand if I don't watch all of them, but someone else told me that there is no problem, so... up to each person, I guess. (Can't say from personal experience because I haven't started it yet)

And about the timeline of the Special Episode and S2 of LBC... I'm not really sure... I think that the Special Ep. happens a few weeks/months after the end of TharnType Finale? So I would say that the timeline is TharnType + Special Ep. + LBC S1 + LBC S2 + TharnType S2...

The storyline of Tharntype won't be a focus on LBC S2, besides that the actor that plays Type character is different in LBC, so no, I don't think Gulf will appear in LBC S2... But there will be a S2 for TharnType so you can watch him there, I guess...
