Loosely related, but do you guys think that Korea is a dangerous place to live for a woman? Those scenes keep…
It's no problem! :)
I understand, and once more agree! And yes, I think in that sense a lot more men would actually help, considering that the probability of them all being creeps is a lot lower xD
And yeah, education and awareness are key factors :) Like you said, the world is bad enough as it is, but we just have to work with what we can do about it, while also trying to maintain inner peace and a good mental state.

^^^ I agree with you!

"After all, the problem isn't the many men in the situation you described, she isn't really afraid of men, it's only the men who are monsters and they wouldn't just appear or disappear depending on how many women there were either and it wouldn't make this situation any safer or more dangerous for her!"

Exactly! It's true that historically rapists have been mostly male, I think due to both very outdated conditioning of seeing women as property, etc, and just the creeps/psychos in society. But the answer is to educate, to focus on rape and sexual assault as a whole ( while first trying to combat it against woman, which is a larger part of the victims, and then towards male victims who feel too shy to speak up due to gender assumptions).

I understand, however, that no matter how much we teach or attempt it to stop, there will always be rapists, murderers and the like. And sadly, because most rape still seems to be towards women, I understand the need to be careful in certain surroundings. The same goes for men in situations that could seem potentially dangerous. (like walking down a dark street alone late in the night). But DEFINITELY that does not mean being scared of our every surrounding and normal daily activities, just because there's males or females around! Like you stated, we don't know which ones are the creeps, which ones are not. Guys are not monsters who are prone to do horrible things. Just some PEOPLE male or female who are unfortunately like that. It's a lot more likely that if a woman is in a place full of guys and one tries to be creepy (let's say 2 or 3 if he's with friends) that the other guys would say something and/or help. We're not *thankfully* still living in the 1800s.(in some ways xD).

So yeah, TL;DR: male ≠ rapist. Yes, sadly, rape is mostly towards women. Let's raise awareness! and also not invalidate the sexual assault men receive! And let's all try to live a little careful of our surroundings, while not living in constant fear.

Title W Spoiler
Only question I have is how come the scene where the father stabbed Kang Chul didn't make it in the comic? It…
I'm also waiting for that question to be revealed, but, in my own *unpopular* opinion, I think there's other questions raised as well, especially for it being a fantasy setting. There's of course the basics of how she can travel to the world, how a manhwa character is able to "take life" (other than will?), whoever is supposed to be one that sends the "new episodes" of the webtoon to the publisher via email, etc. But one of the questions I had during episode 5 when he started reading the comics at the bookstore was: If Kang Chul is suppose to be aware of everything that takes place in the webtoon, what about the scenes of the (ex?) prosecutor and his assistant? Kang Chul wasn't present there, so didn't it surprise him to read it? And also, when reading the comics, wouldn't his own memories figure out the inconsistencies of his life? What I mean is, the comics start off at the Olympics, and soon afterwards his family is killed. But, does Kang Chul remember having a childhood, loving his family deeply? I would've liked a self-realization moment where he figures out that, if he did have memories of childhood, they weren't "real" and instead implemented, and his "life" actually began in the Olympics, or something.

Anyway, there's more but I feel like I've probably explained it more confusing than the questions themselves, so I apologize XD I know the drama's not even halfway through, so many of the stuff I said might be answered. Nevertheless, I will keep watching it because I love Lee Jong Suk, his smile, the cute romantic moments, and the suspenseful things thrown in there, like the end of episode 7.

Title Signal Spoiler
Has anyone watched Steins Gate? This drama feels similar, the writer probably got his idea from that anime. The…
I've watched (and love) Steins;Gate xD I feel they're very different though. Steins;Gate focused primarily on the science (fiction) of time travel, using a specific theory to explain it, and made the show center that. But Signal just had the time travel aspect as a part of the bigger plot regarding the police force, crimes, etc. Love both shows very much! I felt Steins;Gate gave me a more proper explanation regarding the use of time travel though xD (which is expected, since it was its focus). While Signal leaves a big mystery aspect to it.

This was a beautiful, inspiring, touching, creative and all around AMAZING drama for me. Ji Sung blew me away with his acting and I am left speechless. There have been many good dramas in the past 2 years, and this one def goes on the top 5 for me now. It just felt so real, and I experienced every emotion going through this ride, despite only starting the drama a week ago, I will miss it TT_TT I originally just wanted to watch the first ep of curiosity cause the synopsis seemed cool, but it captivated me so fast. I want dramas, as they seem to be doing recently, to keep making such well-balanced series that have both hilarious and beautiful moments you won't forget, while also learning a lot, like about the human mind and its complexities. Once again, amazing! :)

I'm liking this show a lot, though it is pretty clear that it is not as focused on music as we wanted it to be. /: I'm a fan of both main actors & think they're doing a great job. I've never seen the jdrama (only the anime), but I seem to be the only one worried about the Paris thing? Studying abroad is an important part in the story that showed both Nodame and Chiaki's growth, but I've never seen a kdrama that films overseas for a while. (except heirs, and it was indeed cringeworthy) I feel like they'll end up cutting the part altogether, especially since there aren't many episodes left, and will make Nae il be in competitions in korea, and bring viera-sensei to korea or something... Idk. Let's see how these last episodes go. I'm liking that this has version has more romance. (although I dont like the focus on the love triangle ._.)

This was indeed so cute!! But... Why didnt Shone ever tell Nam he liked her? He should have told his friend that he liked Nam in the first place :P Also, they should have made it clear from earlier on that he liked her. I really had no idea throughout the whole movie. xD In addition, a 9 year time skip is a bit much. But of course in movies/dramas people can wait till the end of time and not move on and find someone else even if they havent seen each other once in all those years. Oh well, it makes me wish stuff like that could happen! *-*

is it a sad ending, like someone dying. cuz if that's the case than im not gonna watch this
Nop, it wasn't. :) It's one of the reasons why I loved it so much. Although its very tragic for about half or more of the series, it gets better later on~

Title My Love from the Star Spoiler
This drama has been phenomenal so far. I'll be royally pissed if we get a half-assed ending. I think the writers…
The fact that they havent shown his planet or anyone who lived there suggests (I think) that they wont show it at all so the ending will have to do with him staying on Earth one way or another. Its funny cause I remember reading a story once where humans went to Mars and by eating what was there and adapting themselves they slowly turned into Martians... So I dont know, I dont see it as something so impossible :) I think they'll either end it clearly explained with him becoming human and aging like a human from that point on, staying with Song Yi, or have some kind of weird "interpret-it-yourself" ending that I cant even predict but will just leave you with "What actually happened??" Hopefully its the first one.

Wow, my first drama. I probably wont re-watch it, as I think it wasnt that great, but if it wasnt for this, I wouldnt have gotten into the Kdrama & Kpop world. (And seen more of Lee Min ho's better dramas & roles!) So this drama holds a special place in my heart :D <3 Also, despite not liking a lot of moments, it also has really sweet moments that I remember. AND THE MUSIC. First time I ever heard a SHINee song, and after finishing the drama downloaded the whole OST, then looked up more k-music, and well... The rest is history ^^

How would you describe the humor to be? Is it like, inappropiate type humor? I'm also considering starting this. (mostly because of Yeo Jin Goo)

Also, I find it funny how its always mentioned its for mature audiences, but the word contradicts the supposed meaning so many times. (In movies in general, not just this one) Singing a panty song in a wedding? I gotta say I did laugh XD but I just wish mature movies showed mature decisions, like hey, you're upset because your boyfriend cheated on you, but you have sex with another guy because you're upset about it? Mature would be to break up with her bf when she found out she was in love, not wait till her damn wedding day. Mature would be acknowledging that someone has a bf before going all out. Again, I know these things happen in RL, but that doesnt make them either smart or mature. I know this movie is for romance and laughs, I'm just curious and interested on what the word really stands for these days. ^^'

Title My P.S. Partner Spoiler
I never watch these type of movies, but since I like Ji Sung and the rating's good, I gave it a go. In an overall, I did like it. Its weird cause I didnt like many things in it, and at times I was like "0_0'" but the love still felt real. Man that Ji sung and his stares that make me feel like I'm the one in love~ However, I see people mentioning how its so real and realistic compared to other types of movies/shows, and I agree to some extent. But to me they also take it too far, like, I wish there could be a balance between the kdrama girls who flinch and scream when they see a shirtless guy, and this girl here who has phone sex with this stranger and the first time she meets him has sex with him. I'm not saying that stuff doesnt happen, but people can talk about more than love and sex in their adult life, right? I know the point of this movie wasnt to be deep, I'm just stating an opinion.

Title A Werewolf Boy Spoiler
I bawled my eyes out crying. Usually, I like stories that make me cry, because they sometimes have really beautiful messages that make me feel like it was worth it. However here, I didnt really feel that. It left me with this empty and sad feeling at the end. The acting was freaking amazing, I agree with everyone on that. Both Song joong ki and Park bo young were so believable. But things like: Who he was, where was he from, who he had met previously, I wish they had added more to it overall. I like simple plots, dont get me wrong, but when it has endings like this, it really makes me feel like it should Have been executed differently to make me more satisfied. She leaves, comes back after 40+ years, he's waiting, they meet, she leaves again, and he's shown there... alone... What kind of love it is they had, what was the purpose of their relationship, what is his fate... All unknown.

(cont) I liked Shin Hye's character, though other than a hard-working poor girl, we dont know much about her. What really pissed me off? This feel back into the category of man > woman in terms of the effin wristgrab, yelling and bossing, etc. It makes me so mad, because I didnt think these cliches would occur. After watching such excellent and real-like dramas such as I Hear Your voice and Good Doctor, this is just too much. I know its been in other school-type dramas ( and lots of mangas) but I hate that the guy/guys act like they own her! " I told you I would be invading your privacy" wtf? And, question, when you like someone, shouldn't you want the best for them? ( whether its a young or immature love or not) Love is not selfish and how can you practically force someone to try and say "I like you" Like, wht the... Kim Woo Bin's character is interesting though.

Title The Heirs
I gotta give my opinions here at this point in the drama. I have not watched episode 8 yet, just some parts in the beginning, so i'll comment up until then. I really didn't have any high expectations towards this drama when I started it, as I thought it'd be just another Boys Over Flowers. In the first few episodes, I felt that I was proven wrong because although it did have its clichés: It was filmed in the States, the money gap didnt seem to affect their relationship at all, and he wasnt too bad of a jerk. Plus, there are so many characters it isnt just focused on rich guy and poor girl.
Anyway, these last episodes taken place in the Empire High School have made me change my views towards it. From the beginning I tried to get over the fact that neither of them looked like high-schoolers, fine.

-cont- I think although looks wise, he does not look like a teen, his acting in Heirs is really making him seem like one! The immaturity, and slight innocence. Just compare it to City Hunter, and you can tell he's a good actor because you feel like he's portraying roles that are years apart. So for that, I still consider him one of my fave actors. :)

Before starting to watch it, just by reading the synopsis, I thought it was going to be another BOF again.. But dont you think this was different? I swore I would watch the first minutes and if it was like those high school BOF type dramas I would quit right away. But it wasn't. It still has cliches that make me cringe from time to time, and there are better dramas, but its definitely different, and more than I thought it'd be. Though its plain obvious he does not look like a high school kid, he stated he chose this to have a more brighter, younger role before his next work which he planned to be something very mature and serious. More so than he's ever done on his career before.

Title The Heirs
I'm kinda afraid that this story/plot wont be good, even though the actors in it are great. Dx From what I've read, it seems the very typical and cliche storyline with the poor girl and rich guys. And Lee Min Ho playing a high schooler? What? In City Hunter, I think he played the role of a 28 year old! I feel like he's improved, and I wouldnt like him to have to play a role similar to Boys Over Flowers again. :/ With the awkward kisses too.. ( That is a waste and you all KNOW it. That man can kiss) Imagine Zac Efron going back to doing movies like High School Musical? lol Sorry for the comparison, its a little bit extreme but that's kinda how I see it. If an actor has improved in his roles, its a little weird to step back again. But then again, I havent seen this yet so who I am I to talk. Maybe this director/writer will make this cliche plot different and outstanding. Let's hope!
