Cannot wait! I remembered being a lot more interested in their pairing after Addicted "finished" airing, and I just had to finish reading the novel to find out what became of their characters.
I enjoyed it. The music, actors, story, cinematics, settings, etc. all had their fair share of creating a nice atmosphere. There are many well-produced series, and I personally would put it within one of my top favorites. Very rarely do I cry more than 1 episode while watching a BL series, but they've done a wonderful job getting those messages across; especially the Ramphueng backstory episode. Everything isn't perfect but for what it's worth, the freshness of concept is always welcome.
Definitely enjoyable. It's nice to watch a remake without heavy censorship. I remember watching the original way back then and completely loving it. This adaptation definitely does the story justice even with revisions, and I'm actually glad the author revised the series for a more modern taste since the novel is way more explicit. Here's to hoping we actually get her other novels adapted with true endings and no/little to none censorship.
I definitely vibed with the vigilante approach in the first half of the drama. The shift from Tang to the detectives halfway through definitely changed the genre.
I guess you watched it on YouTube? The side stories are in the uncut version.
No, I watched the uncut version. I'm more so talking about side stories like from the original series that featured original characters like Mo, Khom, the fake BL couple, etc. It's not to say that this version didn't have side stories, but it wasn't as excessive as the original.
Ngl, it was a bit hard to finish the series, but I did it for nostalgia's sake, and I still can't believe it's been 10 years since the original one. Those were my more youthful days.
The series starts off pretty slow, but it definitely picks up the pace making it at least a bit more tolerable for me. At least the series progresses faster than the original. You could definitely feel the awkwardness in some scenes which is understandable since the entire cast is basically new and young. Everyone has room to grow, and I'll definitely wait to see their future projects. Also, it's nice that they still used "Shake" as one of the soundtracks. I remembered being so obsessed with the song.
It definitely stayed more truthful to the novel than the original series. Thank god they didn't have all the extra side stories. Overall, I think it's nice for a remake.
I was thoroughly confused as to how the ring held so much "power" but thank god they revealed it was nothing but…
Anyways, I enjoyed the show for what it was, but I definitely expected at least Jack or Joke to get shot trying to cover a bullet for one another during the last episode. Maybe it's the k-drama speaking in me that expected it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this but please, S2 is a must for this series. Also, we've gotten a lot of brother BL from Taiwan recently, and I'm just asking for them to please adapt one where they're not.
why is there a cliff Hanger in the end of ep 15 i can't find it in YouTube is there a second season please tell…
There was supposed to be a season 2 iirc, but China blocked the series before it finished airing and everything after that never happened. This was when China really cracked down on LGBTQ series so many series at the time simply disappeared or never concluded.
