It's very good. I am amazed by the complexity of the story (very engaging and intricate), the great acting from…
Well nearly all Thai BL series, including those of Gmmtv, are known to have very limited budget and have to make do with whatever they have. But this project probably has all the resources on par with other mainstream Lakorns. I think they really aim to go big.
Also, this one is based on an actual book. While most Thai BL series are based on online Y novels mostly written chapter by chapter in a webboard by amateur writers.
So far, this is much, much better than I expected. It's not a typical Thai BL and the typical Thai BL fans may not like it. But if you keep your mind open, this will be a great watch.
And Akk actually commented that he didn't deserve Theo. Jimmy looked good but I thought his performance was a…
Jimmy is indeed new and acting doesn't seem to be his natural talent. He was able to get by so far, as his characters were supporting roles.
But the next one will be Vice Versa and he along with his partner Sea will have to carry the story this time. It's quite concerning as he had little time to go from a newbie to a lead actor. And I like Vice Versa trailer so much I hope his acting will be good enough for that show.
But the good news is that he fits that character very much. The character in the novel is written as if the author had Jimmy in mind when she wrote it.
I was very disappointed in the ending. I did not read the novel, so I don't know if it deviated from the book.…
No, the novel didn't end like this. In the novel, after the school's four hottest guys are out of the picture, Theo and Akk went to a school event together. They danced, then confessed their love, then kissed. The end. I thought it was a bit too simple and tame when I read it. But perhaps that is a better ending that what we just saw in the series.
For 10 episodes, I kept having hopes that everything the writers put in the story would lead to a satisfying end. All the characters, the conflicts, the symbolic stuff, the plot and subplots, that had been built up are simply forgotten or dismissed rather than actually solved properly. It felt anti-climatic in many ways.
It's like the writers just gave up and decided to say "oh, it's actually nothing. No problem here. It's all in your head!" instead of actually trying to find a way to solve the conflict they created.
Theo as a character reached a new level of unlikeability. I thought he would have learned something from all the lies, fiascos and disrespect he delivered to Akk in earlier episodes. But no, nothing. He became worse in the last episode.
And Akk leaned back to his tendency to not communicate, right to the last part.
With the two main characters still being like this in the last episode, it's hard to feel for them.
But at least this series is visually very pretty. It seems they put tons of efforts in the visuals. I just wished they would at least put half of such efforts in writing as well.
PS. Jimmy is so pretty in this series. It's soothing to see his face, which makes me forget my frustrations for, like, a few seconds.
Can someone brief out what’s this drama’s about..I don’t mind spoilers
A teen boy finds out his older sister who committed suicide on the day he was born is still lingering in the house as a ghost. They bond quickly, giving each other a lot of love and warmth that they both needed so much. But there is a big mystery about her death and why she is still around. And the incident had huge impact on various characters in the series, including their family members and her boyfriend, and this will propel the story forward. Expect heart-warming moments, buckets of tears and some shocking twists the writers dared to put there for us.
