I'm glad you enjoyed it. Although it is not the best drama I've ever watched, it remains to this day my favourite…
I'm reading the novel (and her other novels) now and, good lord !!π She has a story and character formula and style of writing that she's exploited fully, and I can't hate her for it!!π

I was fearful because I'd seen all those complaints about how crazy the novel writer and her storylines are, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. much better than I expected ! The screenwriter and cast honestly did one heck of a job!
"Us" has set the bar high for GLs. Cinematography, story, characters, everything felt and looked like improvement…
(Best part is that the soundtrack and especially the underscore were well thought out, not just tacked on. They spent money on a music director. The plain piano clanging in most GLs so far drives me nuts!π)

The story drew me in quickly and I ended up binge watching all released episodes. The lead couple has ridiculous chemistry, and whoever choreographed the intimacy can take all my money!!
Of course, I'll be rewatching the drama. PamRak have my heart!!
The age gap and all the complaints about it had me worried, but by the end of S1E1, I was onboard with their relationship!
I think they did the "sunshine and grumpy" couple well. It didn't feel forced, and ArNueng's slow descent into love for Anueng felt realistic. Anueng also didn't feel like a "nuisance with no concept of boundaries" even as she chased down ArNueng. I was absolutely smitten with them tooππ... I now get why fans of their ship are crushed by the breakup of their working partnership irl!
I loved the ending! Drama endings are generally average except those of my two favourite shows ever, so this is my third favourite one! I also didn't have a problem with the new actors in the "16years later" scenes (I think they pulled of the dynamic of the actual couple.) By the time the drama was being shot Thailand hadn't legalised same sex marriage, so I appreciate the peek into the future to show they're still together.
In short: Beautiful story, amazing and convincing acting.

Sidenote: Some KDrama actresses need to learn from our leads, or from these Thai GL actresses in general, how to do kiss scenes (β β’β Σ©β β’β )β β‘...
