I started watching this drama because of 1930’s period in combination w Ryan, but then caught up in the superb story and acting in the 2nd arc. The 3rd arc is very personal to me coz I worked in the fashion production in Shanghai. So realistic and those practices still happens today 😭😆

Agree! Even the fashion show was very realistic and the Qipu Market still exist. Well it’s now more commercial. I first arrived in SH only a few years later than this arc. I’ve seen the growth and commercialization of SH businesses, the drama is so well written and cinematography is superb. Of all 3 arc!

Just finished all episodes, really such a good realistic drama. Even the ending when Ranran was finally found. No need for me to see her reunited w her mom. Strong acting by Dilraba, these kind of characters suits her. I’m becoming more and more a fan of these dramas, all actors look realistic. Mainly because of the lack of whitening makeup I guess. Kudos 👏🏻🙌🏻
