They tried to adapt it to more Thai like.

I would say good try, but it is messy.

The novel isn't that bad, it is intended for y2k Chinese. I dare say the author is probably a Cantonese speaker from Hong Kong or Macau.

You do realise that Season 1 has 12 episodes and Season 2 has 36 episodes, making it the longest BL series ever…
I'm supporting, I think new actors should get fresh materials.

I simply don't believe in remake. The Chinese BL "Addicted" too, they can go hysterical over there, 10/10 before the cast is announced etc.

It just reminds me of the differential treatment the actors received. One of them goes national, the other can only do personal mini concerts. Supports? Is the ban on speech of any kind even lifted for them?

Oh sorry I'm off topic. Time has changed for the better, the fake to real love is endearing, but the stereotype and lie are bad taste even then. Thanks for your input.

You are very detailed. I don't think I can recall the fine details unless I reread the novel again.

To answer a little bit of your question, the timeline of the series is quite different from the series.

In the novel, they are already acquainted before the series has started.

The so called plagiarism is already resolved, by Obun showing prove and the communication he has with Shan. Shan belatedly support that claim.

I don't remember why Shan did nothing, it wasn't explained, but the writer meeting is a company celebration for mid autumn festival, nothing to do with writing to begin with.

They didn't decide to write a BL there, Obun wanted to move out of his student dorm for a quiet place to write. He posted at their message group named as "meteor garden", so Shan goes and buys an estate , claiming that he needs a roommate to share "rent".

Shan knows that Obun is Obun all along. We don't know exactly when but Shan is more like finding the right time to confess. His character is quite different from the series as well.

Then later when Ozone complaints about writer block, they then decided that writing something would help Ozone. The conversation is similar to the one in the series.

But the book isn't even about Wuxia, it is about meditation to reach immortality, you know those ascending world and reach higher enlightenment.

They pretend to be a fan lady to write it. They didn't hide it on purpose, they are approached by the lady editor and Ozone simply is not a woman, and he sees no need to become VIP because he already is (they gets nothing they don't already have).

Sorry for long post. Simply said, the story has been changed, period. 🤣

So Kad is free from that studio too, good for you.

I will watch this without expectation, at first glance though this isn't a plot I would like. EP1 isn't drawing me in, as everyone has said the pace and the editing, even the sound effects and music are not quite right, they don't match the mood of the moment.

For example, when they do the cheers the glass sounds is so loud that it echoes, suppressing the music and the speech, while the camera pan outward at an oblique angle with a dreamlike bubbly visual. Rather than romantic it makes the scene surreal, supernatural like.
On LoveSick 2024 Sep 20, 2024
I have watched EP1 as planned, and will go rewatch the original.

The actors of that series are young to me, still are, and these babies acting the same old story, it makes me feel like a fossil, a fossil old enough to produce oil.

I'm too old for this. I insist, a new fresh story for the new generation(s) please, why touch an antique legend?
On Monster Next Door Sep 20, 2024
P' Yu why are you here? Don't you cheat on Ai. 🤣

Anyway the friend zone thing is taken too far. Friends that crossed that line, can you still call that friendship I wonder? For me that's a point of no return.

It is kind of like keeping in touch with ex, it is a bag of trouble, one I make sure to do without. How do you even explain about it? No, explanation will probably make it worse.😆

Has any episode revealed exactly what type of corporation Shan is running in Chiang Mai when he isn't doubling…
Shan is a venture capitalist in the novel. That explains why Obun's parents asked Shan's parents for help in corporational investment.

Frankly this part can be easily explained as such, a simple gesture like a business card will do.

Do we know what they are changing to the series? And how can they change anything if the series was already edited? When…
A lot. Well to be fair the original has many many gimmicks, from local dialogues to cultural references, many typical to drama watchers of particular era, jokes that would not translate well if at all.

It is a casual online novel, more like a fan fiction, and nothing is explained in details. Like the supposed drinking party, the novel just have the four of them, Obun calls them "F4", waiting outside a hotel room, then talks about JDrama "Meteor Garden" etc. We are talking about the millennium, when JDrama stormed across virtually SEA TV screens.

So the story is told in first person view, everything else is up to your imagination. A series is more like an overall view from the camera. Are they doing their job well? You decide.

Intouch NEEDS TO BE ARRESTED. also the mother being calm about it?! NO SENSE
I agree with you.

No mother would stay quiet about her son going blind. In one way or other, a mother will go bonker over this. And this mum is an intelligent independent mum, she doesn't care and knows nothing?

There's literally no love triangle? Nor does the synopsis even hint at one..? It's just two guys.
Orca literally appears as a rival, and until the next episode we can just see a battle for Neil.

The same for Reese, before the episode he just appears to be the boyfriend of the dead brother. You know the scene with only them and the present.

The previews and promotions are cut as such. The promotion photos have Orca Neil from the live concert, sea is off focus and at the back. Yes, slightly more Neil Sea but we see a lot of Orca Neil, Reese Neil, Matt Neil, Fei Sea. They add up more than Neil Sea, really.

There's no triangle here
You are talking about the English title, I'm talking about the Chinese.

This is a Taiwan series you know.

There's no triangle here
I know, but it appears to be when you read the synopsis and reviews.

So really you have to watch first to know that, that's a failure in drawing people to the series. I mean well, the script isn't bad, can't they have a more fitting, at least grammatically correct title?
On First Note of Love Sep 19, 2024
This might not be bad, but the story isn't very attractive. I'm not saying the script nor the actual content is bad, but at first glance it is a typical triangle, a car accident, dead brother vs. young brother.

I will be honest to say the plot prevents me from watching until some good reviews.

Btw, the Chinese title is super cheesy in a bad way. It sounds like cheap pick up lines, for once the English title is way better, but essentially a different title. To translate it by the meaning, it would go roughly as: "play a round of perfectly love".
On The Hidden Moon Sep 18, 2024
For a horror series, we are not scared but are bored to death instead.

If I remember my music teacher right, she insisted that music is about the pause, the silent. Any noise repeated enough would become pollution.

They should learn from "IFYLITA", keep it simple and concentrate on the MLs. Who cares about villagers ABC?

A novel is one thing, a series can skip all the side stories, the cast can be trimmed as well, they talk too much. The ML can crossover and see the other ML, I don't see the point of the cocky friend and the sixth sense boy. In fact the ML can go alone IMO, focus on the main story.
On I Saw You in My Dream Sep 18, 2024
This episode is hilarious.

I can't say nothing about the badminton match, there is no opponent and the serve is just wrong in many ways. And then Panpan pulled out this "GPS" stick from the purse. Not to say mum with the pan, truly a master of PUBG.

Then we have "Captain", the "Playboyy"s are everywhere. We will have another Yo vs. air next week too it seems. 🤣

There is one thing I don't understand: Why is this harmless series only allowed for people over 18???
The intended broadcast includes countries that any series with BL, drinking, sexual innuendo, and/or smoking would be 18+.

Think about X-Men movies, they are adult rated in these countries, like porn. For violence and profanity. Some Harry Potter movies too, because it has monsters like trolls and repot mandrakes.

I dont think intouch planned the attack and intouch seems to be a family friend so ...
That's your interpretation and you are entitled to it. The dialogue is never coherent. Obaun is supposed to wait by the door and went to the lobby then to the back staircase, and back to the room. Why is Shan outside the hotel then? None of it match up, like all other plots in the series.

Why do they need to write a BL to begin with? And so they coauthor it, why do they need to hide it?

Your son is blind, and you just come to talk and bye bye?

Outside the hospital room, Akin clearly said it and InTouch was silent.

Also InTouch said earlier a big surprise for Shan, and someone sent a ticket to the stalker fan. Don't tell me James planned it.
On Battle of the Writers Sep 16, 2024
The poor boy gets one picture then double... Omg do we need that? That whole scene especially with the attack planner InTouch right there?

Mom, that guy sent your son into the hospital, going blind. You would come and go with him? Any mother would scream if not claw at the culprit simultaneously. Someone calls the police please?

Anyway, the Sin part reminds me of "Bed Friend" and then James makes an appearance. The affair has no relation to the story whatsoever however? Wait, Mark is the boss in that series too right?
