But in the mind of parents, the big brother here virtually raised the kids, they would not want their children to walk on a difficult path.

The adaptation here is not homophobic. Traditional Chinese families would just disown their children, called it sinful or mentally ill, and then try to fix it.

And in the process, parents would question their education method, like the big brother here. Rather than bias, it is more a self-blaming process in denial, not understanding and refusing to accept. Thinking that as a parent they made wrong choices or mistakes.

It is different than homophobia. Parents with denial, given time and advice from supporting relatives and friends, can come to term and reconcile.

Homophobia, especially from a belief system like religion, is very stubborn and hard to change.

You like "To be Continued", this one is similar. All sweet and fluffy, virtually no plot.
