Ji-hye was in love with hwan-gi but he didn't know. Woo-il thought she was in love with him because she was nice to him ig. Even though he had a someone he grew feelings for her and kissed her while he was drunk and then after a "mistake" between them happend. Hwan-gi found out and then asked woo-il about it. The person woo-il was with, was hwan-gi sister (Yi-soo). While they were talking about the "mistake" ji-hye and Yi-soo overheard them. Yi-soo then talked to ji-hye and told her she can't live without woo-il and that she is gonna kill herself if she doesn't disappear from woo-il and even cut her wrist. Woo-il thought she killed herself because he choose yi-soo over her. Hwan-gi and yi-soo thought that she did that because of yi-soo. The truth is that ji-hye thought that Hwan-gi won't want to see her again after what happend between woo-il and her. So she was ashamed to see him again and ig she was sorry for destroying his family. She loved him so she couldn't live while she thought he would hate her or some so she committed suicide.
