My favorite character was the generic blonde American man from the first few episodes. I hope he continues to live his best life in the version of Hollywood where everyone speaks stilted Simple English very slowly.
I think we dropped it for the same reasons, I loved the start of the drama till they got together to work in his…
Right!? At a certain point most scenes were just them sitting in a room together, talking about nothing. Then some other characters talking about nothing. Then Wei Wei making the same pseudo-happy face she's made for the last 17 episodes walking around a litterless, perfect cityscape for five minutes. Then the other campus beauty and her henchman repeat the scene for the billionth time.
It honestly makes me wonder why they made the show in the first place. Imagine all the money, time, effort, and personpower that went into this show. Actors had to be cast. Someone had to figure out how to feed these actors. Someone had to make sure they rented out public spaces and buildings to film this. Permits must have been involved. Someone had to man the camera. Someone (or a small team) was hired to translate this show into English for Netflix. All for a show like this where NOTHING HAPPENS OMFG
the leads are so perfect (boring) i legit dont even know how their lack-of-personality passed screening, let alone…
Thanks! And wow, I'm glad I didn't watch any further. The moment they mentioned the unseen side character's fear of women, I immediately knew Wei Wei was gonna work for the company. Quite disappointing.
It's been hard to find reviews that state if a drama show is actually good or not. Most c/k/etc-drama bloggers have "reviews" where they just squee like yaoi fangirls and give everything 10/10s because it was "cute."
Some reviews are just recaps with tons of pictures, one sentence saying they liked it and an arbitrary high rating. I just don't get it.
Spot on. I dropped the show at episode 18 after realizing that I spent 5 episodes watching nothing happen. Once the show started showing less and less of the game (the only thing that makes this crappy show stand out), I just couldn't take it.

Good review :-)
