What an overly convoluted story- Unnecessarily
Ending tied ends, rather loosely.

If looking for a deeply moving story with realistic family life & minimal bubble-gum moments, this is a gem. Brilliant directed and screen presentation. Acting is heartfelt.
John Denver Sunshine is befitting.
The FL had a like many folks might relate, yet she prevailed. FL story is gut wrenching.

Brilliant Taiwanese drama!

Sadly, I finished and reviewed accordingly. Looking at the other reviews wonder if we watched the same drama.

Okay - does the female lead do any character development? Is she silly for all 55eps? I’m at 10 and she is working my nerves.

This is a remake of “This is not what I expected”. Loved the chemistry of ML\FL in that drama. Let’s see...

With some added twists in story, older characters, somehow feel like BoF adult version. Interesting going to give a few more eps

Please tell me this is not another drama where it’s just evil as$hats dominate for 19eps and treat folks like rugs. Kinda feels like USA

At ep24, 3 baby ladies, nagging moms, and tiresome childish antics. Does this improve? Does anyone grow up?

Okay, what is the point of this drama? Actual story line? So far lots of parts that are slow coming together. Destroy her because???? The 2nd lead is simply silly and not a real second lead. The 1st lead heads above all means n acting and demeanor. He was stunning and leveraged extremely as Bai. Just not sure when this 58 eps will give us something to sink our teeth into. Anyone kinda trying to care?

Brilliant drama especially for those who love AUSTEN. At eps58 feeling tired for ML. The insanity of MIL -stepmom is taking a bigger role in the story. My ? WHY? From readers of the book can you inspire me to continue and ignore MIL? The development of ML & G are the focal point I'm sure. Getting very tired of this character since she really is MINOR player (impt yet minor). This lady is worst on all levels compared to Darcy's aunt, at least she claimed Darcy as family. While this cow has subtly hated & harmed & disowned G his entire life.

Somewhere on these comments a person made the astute comment- “Chinese Jane Austen - P&P + S&S etc. Same issues facing females, just different locales-time.

Agreed. She was brilliant all the way through. Impeccable execution.
