The hatred of Gil Chae is so ridiculous, it baffles me. It's like everyone's watching a different show than me.…
I completely agree on blaming jang hyun equally. I was especially shocked when he said he didn't want to be easy to get in the last episode of part one. Like people keep on calling out Gil Chae for her immaturity but what Jang Hyun
did was way worse. He knew his feelings, knew what he wanted and still acted the way he did.
Another reason why I think people hate Gil Chae is because a lot of people don't realise just how devastating war is and especially for that time period. War brings poverty along with it and to expect Gil Chae to simply run away without thinking of her family is extremely short-sighted.

Gil Chae was barely even in this episode and the comment section has already started doing what it does best.…
The hatred of Gil Chae is so ridiculous, it baffles me. It's like everyone's watching a different show than me. Because there's no way in hell these people are expecting a woman in 17th century korea, during a war to act according to modern standards.

Isn't Xiang Liu dubbed over? At least in some parts? Because I swear in his voices changes constantly.
I don't doubt he uses his voice, I just feel like in certain scenes he is dubbed over, especially in the first few episodes

Xiang Liu is also a mythical name, exactly the same, a 9 heads demon and the way he died at the endhttps://zh.wikipedia.org/zh-hans/%E7%9B%B8%E6%9F%B3For…
@mizu that seems plausible.

Tonghua has a habit of using and incorporating actual mythological characters in her novels even if it doesn't…
That makes sense. I knew the novel was based on some epic chinese mythology but didn't realise just how deep the lore ran lol

why nobody talks about Xiang Liu's voice...?A human being just melts when he starts talking :)damn...

Any idea why only Zhang Xu's name was changed in the drama? I know the kingdom's also have different names than the book but Zhang Xu is the only one in the main cast with a different name.

No not blood related.
I think because Xiaoyao's mother called the granny 'master'. Also at the end of the first episode the story teller says the late queen had 4 sons and 1 disciple.

why are they using the phone as lbx's tool to travel? What's with deleting the messages? I'm really curious.
I feel like this theory would have been plausible except for the fact that Yang chaoyan and Gao Ge both aren't really close with each other which is opposite to what happened when Lin Beixing travelled for the last time. Both YCY and GG were not only friends but were maybe even a couple. So I don't think she time travelled using ZWS's phone.

Oh so it's just a theory among fans? That's good, I thought I missed it. Anyway thank you.

But my question is still did they explicitly mention that it's a new parallel world each time? I'm only asking in case I missed it.

New one every time. They have no connection with the other parallel worlds. What i assume those worlds are all…
Is it explicitly said tho that it's a new world each time? I don't know why but since the first episode cleared that it's a parallel world I keep thinking about endgame. So I keep on going by that logic thinking LBX messed with multiple realities and what repercussions there might be for those worlds.

Ok so I just finished watching this last night and I keep wondering whether Lin Beixing went back to the same parallel universe each time or is it a bit like Avengers Endgame where she goes to a new one every time she time travels? Also if it's a different universe each time what happens to the original Lin Beixing of that universe after Zhang Wansen dies and time traveller LBX goes back?
