Her smile is her self defense that she wears in public(just the same how people with PTSD very often talk about…
I have finally reached the part in the novel where they mention her reason for always laughing. we understand both lead’s perspectives in much more detail in the novel. feelings of the ML were not portrayed completely in the drama, which led me to not consider him THE MC. but it’s different in the novel, more in depth, to be precise. some scenes from the drama make so much more sense now.

that makes sense. even in the novel, so far i've been noticing that whenever someone poses a threat to her, she laughs. novel is a bit long. i hope i end up finishing it.
when the series was going on, people kept on saying how the FL was girlish. now that I'm reading the novel, I'm realising how misunderstood those claims were. FL smiles when she's in a fight. she laughs when she sees fear on her opponent's face. she's pretty ruthless. pretty and ruthless.
Yes it was so sad that she had no one except her mom and even she could never love He Yan completely. But I think…
yeh, she basically got a whole new life with a new identity and new people. but then again, maybe the reason her reincarnation was her previous miserable life.
finished this long ago but still thinking about it. some thoughts: it would've been so good if they had shown at least ONE person who was happy after knowing that he-yan could see again. at least ONE person who would've been so happy about he-yan's return that they'd've hugged her at first sight. just SOMEONE who was grateful to have her again in their life. Because the drama He-yan was not reborn, and did not change bodies, this could've been totally possible.
You-Zhen's character has so much more potential! she's smart and knows how to use her power. I'm waiting for when she separates from Zi-Shu. She might not become an all-good character because of her close relationship with her father, but she will be a smart villain.
I'm a tad confused why at the beginning of ep 8, even after she got her memories back, her wanting a divorce is…
cause she had a memory loss. one minute, she was expressing her love. next minute, she remembers that she was divorcing the same guy. it can be disappointment or denial or something
