It can be thought of as a bittersweet happy ending. The drama suggests that eventually, the characters will be happy. The ending scene can be thought of as a direct reference to the future where our characters are able to be happy. So in that sense, it is a sweet ending. The bittersweet element is the fact that our characters will not be truly happy in the IMMEDIATE present of the drama, but will be happy ONE DAY.
