Omg this just hit me, in story, she spent more time on dates with her boss than time in court/legal process. Not even a periodical visit from a social worker until last 2 episodes.
I think a lot of people have issues not with what is shown but how it was built up. If the court plot point started earlier, like episode 8 maybe, and then they had to prove they were fit parents the rest of the series while still going through all the workplace/life stuff they both went through then it probably would've worked. But unfortunately I'm not a writer so what do I know.
Unless I'm misremembering, the scenes she was "reminiscing" about weren't actual flashbacks right? They were new scenes made for that scene right? If that's the case, boy did the writers not plan this properly.
Now I'm not a conspiracy theorist but there's gotta be real beef between the writers and the main man lead because who in the right mind decided THAT was going to be the ending for episode 9. If there was any time to make a cheesy "reunion" that episode was the one to do it. But no, somehow it aint him who shows up
As of episode 8 the writers spent HALF of the series trying to make a relationship work between the main woman and her boss. HALF and its a 12 episode series to add on to that so theres 4 more left. TWO THIRDS of this series was spent on MAKING a love conflict not 1 or 2, EIGHT. I wouldnt be surprised if the main woman comes out on a random interview and airs out how much she hated acting in this series the writers seem very incompetent at giving her a good story line. And you know whats ironic? The main man is actually fulfilling her original plot line, balancing work and taking care of a kid. So the writers screwed her twice btw or at least thats what it seems like. First comment ever btw.
