Well, I have to disagree. I personally only saw him as the character.
Even the scenes where he felt split over what he did to the FL made complete sense to me in relation to his character. He originally never cared about the trio at all and just wanted to live quietly without getting dragged into conflicts, but they basically forced their way into his life.
And the thing is, he already planned to sell ANYONE out the moment he was offered the chance to learn about the biological mother he had been longing for 20 years. He just never expected himself to start caring about people he had only just met, and I honestly thought he portrayed that growing attachment and internal conflict pretty well, especially because he was actively trying not to feel that way. His mom was always the priority from the beginning.
So yeah, I don't know what's this Emote! thing you're talking about because he did well to me.
I genuinely don’t understand why people act like he’s trying so hard to look pretty onscreen, especially after the teddy bear punch scene. You could literally see his pores, pimples, acne scars, eye bags, etc. He clearly wasn’t trying to maintain some flawless polished image here, but he just happened to look good anyway. So what exactly is he supposed to do about it? Why is there so much negative fixation on his face?

Well, I just finished True Beauty and I’m currently watching Wonderful World, and I honestly don’t think this is just one lucky performance. I never watched his dramas before because I kept hearing he was bad, but now I genuinely don’t get why he became known for that.
And whenever people explain why they think he’s overrated, the conversation somehow always circles back to his face. At this point, I honestly think people just refuse to see past his visual. He’s not even trying to look pretty here. You can literally see his eye bags, pores, pimples, acne scars, all of it. Like hello, the teddy bear punch scene?
Oh brother...The gap in acting abilities is so so apparent when Cha Eunwoo goes head to head against all these…
I have to disagree with you. Personally, I think BNR’s acting is way too exaggerated at times to the point it starts feeling more like a villain caricature than a natural performance.
I went into this drama with zero expectations and genuinely never thought I’d end up this blown away.
And honestly, I’m really surprised by Cha Eunwoo here. Now that his acting is good, somehow his aura and charm go x10000000. I hope he'll pick up more dramas after this.
I was watching Eunbin’s interview and I think people should stop questioning why some of the superpowers seem “useless” because:
1. Chae Ni got teleportation because she never traveled outside of Haeseong City, and it activates when her heart beats faster because she had heart condition.
2. Gyeong Un got stickiness because he never truly stuck with anything in his life, and it activates whenever he lies because he always fails to stick to his own words.
3. Ro Bin got super strength because he has always been meek and pushed around. And it activates when he finally reacts and allows himself to get angry because he never fought back before.
Is it just me or did anyone else notice that every time the story starts getting too serious, something completely absurd suddenly happens and breaks the tension?
The snot tear scene is peak comedy. Heo Dajung is a chaotic comedy genius.
