I am happy with the funny moments even when chemistry between the FL & ML is not exactly sizzling. Even the supporting cast are great in their delivery of comedic expressions and act dumb look. The script humour is probably what is needed in 2020 for laughs. I fell off my chair laughing when the potted sanserveira was presented as a gift to impress the FL. I actually like them and own several pots!

Not even bothering to watch subsequent episode after 50 at all for another bout of misery and injustice. Jumped straight into finale and so relieved it is over.

Hiyah ...what good are those shoes for a dead man. How true the words Su Yuying spoke of Mingyu, even as hateful she is outwardly, she does not hide her emotions and actions. Such a pitiful character dying of heartache of unrequited love. Mingyu is just goody two shoes.

Those shoe + charms in the closet does not absolve her from all the hurt CX suffered throughout. I dislike all those promises made and passed on to keep peace, lessen suffering just to entrench the monarchy to power

MY should be tied and burned as the worst villain/manipulator of CX love.

Up to epi 42 it is still about failed romance for the leads and even more frustrating a never ending cycle of XCX being plotted against by his brother emperor and the young emperor. I am resigned to fact XCX will never find happiness. Poor guy.

I think there is more hardship for Mingyu as the spoilers are pointing to her having a child but he was forcefully taken away by the rotten emperor for surrogate to the wretched sister Wanyin. I am so raging when I see all these and just want to slap them silly.

Agree. She was resigned to the fact she was beaten and wanted to save her face and dignity since her suicide was not too successful.

I think that was how it is though I cannot understand the last part why Yu Tian came in the motorbike. What was the symbolism and watching just that segment one would have thought Yi He ended up with Yu Tian? The doctor saying he is single and mourning the death of his wife, why was his story woven in at all except to serve the purpose of introducing a new face? Not really happy with the way the last few episodes are edited.

Ling ba deserves a supportive woman like HM who could stand up for her man. It would be interesting if the script has HM and CT interacting and having HM sort out that sick woman.
