really good and to say, unique which makes it unpredictable for the drama enthusiasts. no annoying 2nd lead,he is neither bad or irritating,rather good enough to make us hoping for his appearance ,but he just disappeared. the scenes between the leads are really sweet but as for skinships ,its really less,just hugs and one kiss so far. and definitely zero misunderstanding, healthy relationship between them.

I posted a pic on mdl which zhang jingyi posted on her weibo.. she had one photoshoot as a hawthorn girl when zhi was a commoner,now as huazhi is about to enter the palace,she posted another bunch of photos in a royal dress.She looks absolutely majestic , ancient costumes suit her so well!

Fun fact is many of us upgraded the rating to 9.5 or 10 after watching 28 and 29 epi. the last two episodes were so good that it shifted the whole show to a new atmosphere .Honourable mentions to fudong,yanxi s assistant,6th prince jian.
the show just keeps getting better with each epi passing.

i watched the 2nd season ,comparing the story,it was better than the 1st one. but i wish the fl was someone more beautiful,iam definitely not a racist(trust me,iam not ,oh goodness)
,its just my eyes are spoilt by watching pretty K nd C actresses lol.
i even dk if any other season has come out or not,havent seen any english series after wednesday in 2022,its been such a long time!

though idt it even deserves a 5
for me,its an absolute 1.
i have hardly seen any drama so lame and lousy.

lighter and princess,love is sweet, when i fly towards you..ongoing kdrama lovely runner...all are pretty good. AASOL is boring as hell, i rather found the mentioned ones really good ,they all are youth romance dramas like aasol (except LS) but much better.
as for recents,ongoing historical drama blossoms in adversity is also good. try it if y like the synopsis.

I love wulei but couldnt end up liking this show anyhow. appearantly the romance is sweet,lovely ,idk why the chem felt so dry to me.and the most important fact,its soo boring!yk when the drama is good you feel the urge to see the next epi s asap ,i mean binge watch,but here,its like just going with the flow,nothing extraordinary storyline ,no angst .Super duper monotnous. some scenes felt so repetitive,Just eating ,kissing and staring like a predator,(i love the way wulei expresses through his eyes,its just the show didnt do any justice to his acting skills)
iIdont think there was any vital plot that could drag the show till ep 32. DISAPPOINTING.

yeah me too.they are brothers after all, how come he didnt show any compassion towards jian?nd the boy ,he acts really well despite being so young.

She is a really down to earth person,her visuals and behaviour both are sweet.
Dont miss lighter and princess.. its soo good! her top 2 dramas so far,BIA and LP.

People say yitian hardly moves his eyebrows..they should watch yanxi s frown in the scene when he gets know ,lmao.

you said it right,if comparing the score is not bad, the parameter isnt still clear to many like me,thats why we just expected it to be more higher.

I cant comment about historical inaccuracies though as iam an international viewer.. i dont watch historical ones much,as i often cant understand the storyline,this one seemed lighthearted and easy to follow. every drama must have less or more plot holes as its totally fictional nd got no connection with reality . but definitely as a viewer,we tend to expect its rationality as much as possible so that we can relate it with our day to day life like kdrama reply 1988.but in my personal opinion ,we can actually be a bit indifferent to the holes in costume dramas as they are more figmental than modern ones and focus on enjoying more. i also dislike when there are way too such things that make no sense,here i found nothing like that,maybe i am too immersed in the majority positive parts those are highly enjoyable so i didnt pay heed .at the end i really find this drama amazing in every aspects , so as you said my ratings matters most to me.

Oh my my,ep 30 preview was so amusing,just watching the small clip made me laugh so hard,huazhi s reaction was so so funny.. sack /poison/macheta , HAHA

Ratings can change after it finishes airing, a judicious viewer would never rate a drama halfway watching according to me.. i am optimistic it will rise ,atleast it deserves a 7.. it doesnt have enough romantic content,its not even a wuxia or xianxia,the drama is not everyone s cup of tea,but majority ,who are watching is bound to admit its excellency in acting,plot,cinematography nd more.
ND its hyt s best drama so far,his acting might not satisfy everybody but he still doing great. jingyi s performance exceeded all expectations..im always in short of words to appreciate her efforts she put in every role.
those who have viki acc ,kindly rate there,international viewers cant rate on douban .

how do they expect to have the consistency of popularity by releasing 1 ep per day then again no ep in weekends?the schedule is so bad fr..now that we have reached to the most angsty climax part of the drama, waiting is getting harder.

isnt lord xian the main villain?looks like there is another person,the one who instigated him.. but iam still glad that the emperor played positive. if he was an antagonist it would be soo predictable,and i also loved gyx s devotion towards his uncle.. so rare to see such uncle-nephew relation.

it didnt do well domestically, nd it was said to be flop cz considering the cast nd director,viwership didnt exceed the expectations.the storyplot is interesting but confusing and hard for many to follow. but internationally it was well recieved.

ep 28 is worth a rewatch.
