True, love next door which is last year and WYMM is totally different character, idk are they bot haters comment…
Those who said that her acting is similar, they're not telling the truth. It's so different that it's like a different person. I can boast that among the best rom-com actresses, Jung So Min must be in that list, because I've been a fan of many rom-coms, and I found her to have the most natural acting.
I watched "Would You Marry Me" and "Love Next Door" in between, and now I've finished "Because My First Life." Based on the comments from viewers here, I'm surprised by people who say Jung So Min is playing the same roles. It's obvious how different they are—her personality, her facial expressions, and her way of speaking—she makes it completely different. She has great chemistry with all the other actors, but I liked her chemistry the most in "Love Next Door." "Would You Marry Me" was also great, but I wished there were 3-4 more episodes for them.
I actually wanted more sweet scenes between the two leads, but SBS clearly wanted to promote the ex-lovers. Meri's ex-lover role took on too much of a role, overshadowing the romantic plot a bit, even though I understand his role was crucial. I'm here for Somin. The cactus scene was adorable and captivating, and throughout the whole series, she didn't disappoint. Her acting was charming and beautiful. In every scene with Woo-shik, their chemistry was truly amazing, and every scene they shared was breathtaking. It's a shame that the series only had 12 episodes, so everything felt rushed. Many 12-episode series have been like this. I prefer 16-episode dramas; they have more time to immerse themselves.
I give ML and FL the highest marks for this drama. They're absolutely flawless, with excellent chemistry and captivating performances in every episode. As for the plot, I think 12 episodes doesn't offer enough depth, but it's not bad. It's a fun and relaxing experience every episode. The last two episodes left me a little disappointed. I'd have liked to see ML and FL live together as husband and wife, with more sweet scenes. However, the story devoted too much time to her ex-boyfriend, and it didn't really contribute to the plot. At least I saw Meri mature. She let go and forgave, and the result of that action was that those who had wronged her were defeated and left her completely.
But I understand fl, it's human nature to have flaws. Sometimes you're smart and brave, sometimes you're weak, and we all are. If everyone was smart and did what was right, it would be just a fantasy novel. But at least in a rom-com, the lead character has to have a sense of right and wrong and try to fix his mistakes. I love this part of the story, I'll get to see this correction tonight.
I have to say that JungSo-Min truly excels in romantic comedies. She's charming in every scene, even though her character's actions can be frustrating at times. But because she is pretty and cute, it is easy to forgive. If her next project were a rom-com, I think I'd definitely watch it again.
I feel a little sorry for those who weren't happy with this series. I hope you find a series that makes your heart swell like it does for me now. I absolutely loved "Would You Marry Me?" I worked all day and then came home and rewatched the episodes, especially the scenes with Meri and WooJoo. It really helped me recover from my exhaustion. My heart swelled and I couldn't stop smiling when I thought about them. They made a romantic comedy that truly fulfilled the needs of this type of series.
And the chemistry between ML and FL was amazing. I secretly hoped they'd actually date. It felt so real when they hugged, kissed, and interacted.
I didn't want it to end. I don't know if there will be another one like this before the end of the year.
Every episode is getting better and better. I'm really enjoying it. It's a drama where every scene between the main characters is warm and full of romance. The drama part is cleared up quickly, not complicated, making it not stressful but fun.
Oh, I'm surprised people complained about Jung So-min's acting. I actually enjoyed her the most. I think the other characters were a bit over-acted, but So-min's performance was incredibly natural. She had so many playful expressions and it was so cute. The sad scenes made me cry with her. She's so good at expressing herself with her facial expressions and eyes.
In Episode 9, I loved the scene where Fl confessed her heartfelt struggle between wanting to clear her debt and wanting to uphold her morality and integrity. It was so real. She's a human being who still knows right from wrong. Her attempt to protect ML stems from her guilt over dragging him into this dishonest situation. But she didn't expect the situation to escalate this far. She thought it would be easier, accepting the reward and ending it all in one day. But it wasn't. ML and Fl were thrust into an increasingly chaotic situation. A single lie led to a never-ending cycle of lies.
I started yesterday and been loving it. On ep 6 now, I’ve been reading comments that it’s not good after this??…
He comes back to make the characters more understandable and doesn't have too much screen time. The rest is very cute. Episodes 7-8 will definitely make you smile with happiness.
Would You Marry Me has been in Disney's top 10 list every day since its premiere. Despite delays in several countries and not yet airing in some European and Central Asian countries, it has been a resounding success for a Korean rom-com on Disney.
I watched all 8 episodes in one go and loved it so much. It's a really enjoyable drama. The story is captivating and the acting is excellent. This is the best couple in a romantic comedy. They are so cute. I can't wait for the next episode.
