That is true. Most Asian cultures don't hug, give words of affirmation, or say I love you to their kids. The child either does what is expected of them and the parents leave them alone or if they don't do what's expected of them then they get lectured. LOL

I wish I could think the same way you do about their relationship. I just can't handle all his weirdness. I'm ready for her to move on as well, but I still don't believe Dong Ma is the one for her. LOL

Yes, this show is a train wreck, but we can't turn away from it. LOL He's already telling Dong Ma to offer Si Eun money to get rid of her, but little does he know she isn't about the money. Hopefully Pi-Young gets some sense knocked into her and she just takes the relationship with Dong Ma as a fling. LOL

I see. Si Eun and Ban might be ok in that department since it appears they both are seeking companionship more than a sexual relationship.

His hate for his dad runs deep. I'm scared for Si-Eun and her kids. His dad is a man with money and can do things to hurt them.

I'm tired at seeing the professor too! He's stupid to think that Si-Eun will take him back if he keeps apologizing. She's caring, but the infidelity and hurtful excuses as to why he wanted a divorce will always be in her mind. It's good that she's not letting him back into her life.

Her statement was a bit off putting. However she speaks the unfiltered truth that most people think, but don't have the guts to says out loud because of societal niceties.

She could end up with Sa Hyun. Since Song Won is a spirit now she could possess A Mi's body and get with Sa Hyun. LOL

Oh don't feel sorry for her. It's her karma.

I'm still skipping most scenes concerning Pi Young and Dong Ma. It still doesn't make any sense why her character would go for him. She had such a mature conversation with her young daughter and then goes and messes around with Korean Santa. LOL They're both such turn offs to watch. On gosh, then her daughter left maybe late afternoon. Pi Young is seen getting ready for her hot date. Cut to the scene where Dong Ma is picking her up and it's dark outside and she's rushing and putting on her earrings like she didn't have time to get ready. She even wore the first outfit she picked out too, so why was she rushing? The most laughable part is that her makeup and hair still looks exactly the same.

It seems like Dong Mi maybe possessed by the ex's spirit. Didn't he call his granddaughter puppy or whatever?

Of course Song Won would become a spirit who cannot let go of her child. Her woe is me storyline continues even after death. May she never rest in peace.

I'm just waiting for Ban Si Eun's happy ending. Out of all the characters on the show Si Eun's kids are my favorite. She did an awesome job raising them. Hyang-gi's is supportive of Si Eun's decisions and sees her father for what he truly is. Then U-ram is the sweetest most gentle loving kid there is. It makes sense that he would be the one who would be concerned about how his father would feel. I'm so glad that he made himself look like a fool in front of them too. He's been a fool from the beginning of the show and he'll remain a fool to the end.

I would say generally for people who haven't been around each other it's a bit odd if they got engaged that easily. However, Seo Ban and Lee Si Eun have been around each other for quite sometime since they are coworkers. Seo Ban has been secretly loving her as well. There quick engagement makes way for sense than Pi-Young and Dong Ma.

Got it. They actually fit well together though because he's no different from her either. At least she winced while on the ride. He just had that stark straight face like he always does. haha

Episode 6 was extremely boring. I fast forwarded through Pi-Young and Dong Ma's useless conversation. Pi-Young has been levelheaded and intelligent up to this point. Her not being able to form a thought to counter Dong Ma's crazy delusions was off putting and made no sense when she has been such a strong and opinionated character. Dong Ma was set on marrying Ga-Bin too. He easily threw her away AGAIN because of Pi-Young's electrifying scream. Be intrigued, be turned on, but to end an engagement and then want to marry a woman that you've seen 2 times isn't unsettling at all. There are so many red flags with him. He doesn't know how to treat women either. It's not romantic or loving that all he did with Ga-Bin was dictate what she was to do, and she simply followed along like a sickly puppy. Pi-Young is more subdued than Hye-Ryung but is classist none the less so she might get with him because he's got the family background and credentials one like her would be looking for regardless of his deranged and assertive ways. She'll be going from a narcissist to another narcissist.

They can also cut out A-Mi and Yu-Shin now. They are useless and add no interest to the show anymore. I hope Dong-Mi doesn't come back either. The actor changes really messed up the dynamic of the show. The new actors aren't doing justice to the roles and what use to be fizzling is now flat. When Hye-Ryung had the flashback with the new actor as Sa-Hyun I was like, "when did Hye-Ryung have this guy as a love interest?" without even realizing that was supposed to be Sa-Hyun. LOL

What Song Won wanted most out of life was to have a family and she essentially took that family away from Hye-Ryung. It was poetic justice for Hye-Ryung that Song Won died right when she was going to attain it all. Her relationship with Sa-Hyun's family was hard to watch. I wanted to punch each one of them every time they coddled her and acted like the perfect family. Hye-Ryung isn't the ideal DIL for their family. She's cunning, knows exactly what she wants, and how she wants to live. Her in-laws couldn't accept that aspect of her and the show even tried to portray the fact that she's nontraditional as a bad thing. While Song Won was the submissive filial DIL that they've dreamed about she was the one that slept with their married son and got pregnant. Their situation is the perfect example of good isn't always good and bad isn't always bad.

With that out of the way I'm so happy for Ban and Si-Eun. They both deserve all the happiness that comes with being together. At this point of the show the only storyline worth watching is theirs.

It is really out of character for Pi-Young to fall for Dong Ma. It makes sense if she's flattered by his interest in her though, but not to the point that she falls in love with him. They've built up her character to be strong and opinionated and all of a sudden she can't form a thought or sentence to show Dong Ma that he's nuts. Frankly if she gets with him she deserves whatever twisted fate lies ahead of her because we know his track record with women isn't the greatest.

Agreed. She deserves love, but from someone else. Dong Ma is just like her ex-husband, but outwardly open about his sadistic ways.

It was. I skipped through Pi-Young and Dong Ma's conversation. So pointless and boring asf.

He didn't take her there to cheer her up. The only reason he took her to the amusement park was to get her to scream and to see if he would get a rise out of it like how he did with Pi-Young. He didn't get the reaction he wanted. He's freaking sadistic.
