Speaking of JJY, i guess in this drama she's still the same character as she usually do. Emoting complicated emotions is obviously not her strongest forte. Yet, in here JZ's character portrayal creates a perfect foil for her. Hence, her usual character is tolerable.
I dont think she'll change her acting style anywhere soon. But the industry doesnt really care as long as she sells well, and she's not the only one. We all know how the industry works.

Yet, i saw that one poster of this drama (the one where the leads sit by the window) released by IQIYI and the whole vibe somehow feel very different and feel good. Thus, i try to watch it and not expecting to actually like it.
I dont think anyone trying to refute any bad reviews bout this drama because it's obviously not the best drama out there, far from it perhaps.
But hey, maybe you want to try to watch it and see why many of us like it ☺️

Li Qian does save him and get badly injured in the process. He also saved Li Qian, he's not that much of an evil though. His obsession toward Baoning that makes him an irrational idiot.
