Review Love O2O
Yeah, I find your review very on point that's why still don't get the phenomenon of this series.

I know that this type of story brings us a dreamy-like prince charming who ends up with a girl we can easily indentify with, and it would be best if she's also a quick-witted one who can stand for her values. And I don't have anything against it - quite the opposite I'd say - I'd like to watch from time to time sth lighthearted with not so demanding plot. But nothing's always simply: it's only natural for people to encounter lot's of obstacles which make them change or strenghten their characters, in other words, to DEVELOPE. There was nothing like that here.
We are introduced to two main leads who for the whole time remain very constant. You said the main lead was robotic-like. For me the both of leads were like that - I couldn't see any depth in their emotions. Sometimes characters are very aloof, reserved but you can see their feelings expressed by their eyes (yes, I'm looking at you, Zhu Yi Long and your Shen Wei in 'Guardian'). Again, here was nothing like that. Total lack of personality. These two characters were very poorly written and the wood-like acting makes it even more hurtful to watch.

I've started a bit out of order as I began talking about the main roles and how they're being acted but I think of it as the major points making one want to drop this series.

As for the story - the game theme was for me really unique and refreshing and seemed to have a big potential. I enjoyed watching scenes "in-game" as the setting was well-done and if you like Chinese costumes dramas, you'd be satisfied with it. Also that kind of idea builds somewhat two planes of storytelling which is very interesting. So yeah, I too was very exited to see this drama. And also find Hao-KO pair cute to watch, as well as relationship development between Mao Xiaotong and Bai Yu's characters. But sorry not so sorry I made it only to 18th episode and couldn't go through it XD I consider returning to the moment when I'd stopped only for those two couples but I don't know if it's still worth it. I mean, I have some time now but there's always sth better to watch xD

Overall, thank you for your review!

Totally agree with you! It's hard to believe but so much time passed since the drama had aired and I still can't stop loving these two songs. Just too beautiful.
