Soul Mate explores a whole lot of themes, and it was kind of unexpected when I clicked on this title. Grief, homophobia, the problems in our society... At first, I thought it would be just an over dramatic tearjerker, but it was actually way more than that.
Both main actors did an amazing job with the portrayal of their characters. They poured so much into them to give them life, it was beautiful to watch.
The cinematography was exceptional, especially the scene at the church, the train and when they walk around the city.
On the more negative side, I started to lose my interest at some moments (I found the script a bit exaggerated, especially around the middle of the series), even though I quickly got into the story again.
Overall, I wouldn't consider a BL, but it still is a romance. I don't regret watching it at all ! :D
