How did you arrive at the conclusion that the relationship wasn't working anymore? Because from what I read, he actually proposed for them to live together and get married in 2 years and he actually broke up with her over the phone because a news outlet found out about their relationship. So, his reason for breaking up with her according to the gf is due to paparazzi and not because they were having any issues. If that is the case, that means that he choose fame over her.
