I'm crying guys! I couldn't help it. It was more than I expected. I just feel so emotionally happy. What a wrap up! This is how you end a romance thriller. Tasteful. Endearing. Lovely. And never Rushed.
My favorite character will always be Hong Hee Joo. Her goodness, the beauty in her heart and the fierce character when needed. These are qualities to be admired by any human being out there. Baek Sae On truly needed her as she needed him. What a beautiful love story. Yes it has your typical tropes but done fresh and most of all DONE Well. Not perfect but that's the beauty of having flawed characters.
One scene stood out to me: When HHS said " If you have to be punished, I should be the one to punish you". That scene where the calm HHS is no more, she finally let out her frustration and agony. Wow that whole scene drew me in. She took the lead and didn't hold back and gave that one big kiss. Chae Soo Bin that was awesome! It was natural and authentic. I always struggle with some FL acting delicate roles. Delicate acting after all is hard to pull off but you are truly amazing. You're now on my watchlist girl! Please someone offer her better scripts she's on fire ! You truly are subtle and poised but when needed you blow up the screen BEAUTIFULLY.
side note: CSB indeed has the sweetest voice in English and Korean ( from someone living in USA)
I know YYS will be offered other romance roles but it'll be hard to pull off the chemistry as crazy after CSB ( it's just my opinion).
I've said it before but since it's the last episode I'll say it again. YYS best chemistry truly is CSB. I've seen almost all his romance filmography from Warm and Cozy, Dr Romantic, Hospital Playlist, Interest of Love, etc. Yes he admits he is a chemistry maker no question about it but I always thought of it as "dramatized" (not in a bad way) so it never drew me. His acting drew me but the romance part never felt natural. Until Chae Soo Bin. Wow . Who would have thought we would need YYS to be paired with CSB? I never would have imagined in a million years. The intense acting chops of YYS paired with the delicacy of CSB's acting in one frame creates a balance and complimentarily. It felt authentic, natural, raw, and lastly but not the least romantically believable. This is how you make krama magic people. The last time I've experienced such great chemistry was CLOY ( it's not even on my top 3 dramas!).
That's a wrap. I apologize for my ramblings. Just needed to let it out there. It was beautiful to hang out with you WTPR family!
Well let me say my piece, ep 1-10 have been perfection for me but ep 11 was a tad bit underwhelming to say the least. There's just too much running in circles for being the second to the last episode ( may be for a 16 part episode it'll work but not for 12 episodes). Yet again another cliffhanger . Do I think it's necessary? I don't know I'll have to ponder that through but I'll forgive them if they give me a good wrap up on the last episode. God forbid it'll be your typical rushed episode and only have the last 10 minutes of bliss ( I'll sue MBC if it's 5 minutes).
I hope they don't drag it for half hour of angst because we've got most of the angst already. Just give me a good wrap up please 🥺
Literally the whole world is seaching for hee joo. Hee joo, where are you?????Some of my thoughts before the series…
I was thinking of point 2 and 3 you were talking about as a possibility, yes it might sound cliche but this drama has done so well with cliches so far and what's making without it?
