I think this episode for me was very good. I know some people found it flat or more of a filler, in my opinion the lightness of ep 5 balances the intensity the past 4 episodes gave us. Its subtle deviation brings the "romance" part of this series. If it were all intensity then it loses the part of romance, after all this is a romance-thriller drama. So I understand the perspective of both the writer and director . I loved it!

Well honey you literally haven't explained anything clearly in your brief explanation on WHY she is forgettable thus me ask for clarification to your claims and have those actresses you mentioned won BEST Actress awards in the said award shows? Where should I turn when I shouldn't listen to critical reviews? Why BWS and KHY different? Why she lacks screen presence when videos of her are everywhere? I'm simply summarizing what I wrote in wanting a more in depth thoughts, which is part of Constructive criticism. And yes you haven't satisfied my curiosity. TRUE ACTORS do get praises by film critics for a reason- these are professionals that are hard to please and are cut throat( they cover even the smallest detail of every acting you do) and not a popularity contest. If it weren't important we wouldn't be talking about Cannes, Oscars , or best actress awards.It's like claiming one has the best restaurant in the world without being Michelin recognized. It's simply an empty shell.
Yes you're right she had supporting roles afterward but does it encompass everything you're pointing out to why she's forgettable and still got lead roles thereafter? If she's forgettable, Forbes sure didn't because she's listed as 30 under 30 in 2023 ( which is a hard feat by the way since they look throughout Asia and different categories) and New York Asia film festival awarded her too which didn't seem to skip her screen presence (which also is a hard feat to do) and they didn't forget her(and she even won them after Ditto as she was simply a supportive character you claim) . These international recognitions count the minute detail. To clarify, my world doesn't revolve around her as you claim but I take no offense to that. I simply want more depth of your claims and not mere name calling criticism.
As for now she's not waving any white flag as you suggest and the industry seems to want to keep an eye on her.
If one is allergic to Kim Hye Yoon simply because she is ( not because of her acting skills) well like any allergy -it is best to avoid her and her works.

If I recall BWS was also a side character throughout most of his filmography and recently got praised AND this is is his very first lead role (kudos to him). This is also the only time he got praised. So what makes KHY and BWS different? Let's not go shallow on physical attributes because it can be subjective but on acting skills. Can you expound WHY they're different? To counter something you said that she didn't any acclamation, there is a stream of professional critics that commend her. It's all over the web. And yes she started acting in 2013 when she was at middle school for minor roles and almost pursued graduate studies until her role in sky castle AND won Baeksang for it (but that doesn't matter right?) since she's so forgettable that people even refer to her as "Ye Seo".
