So i bumped up the rating from 8.0 to 9.0 just because of the ending. At first, I was skeptical of the story, seeing every character was made a suspect. But the ending really worked.
Swords are drawn and an interesting battle lies ahead. Curious to see if Yoo-jeong will seek vengeance from CP, or will instead work in the shadows to crush Gye-won.
so are you saying the plot was underdeveloped or the characters? or are you saying both?
Both. The premise was good, but in the end the story failed to deliver. And with each episode of only 30 minutes, we really can't expect any character development either.
I really wanted to like it but they completely dropped the ball. The writing/plot/storytelling was just.. uh...…
This was shown at Cannes? Really? Koreans have set a very high standard with their movie and dramas, but if this drama is showcased at Cannes, then I don't know who I can blame.
Watched 10 episodes and now seriously wondering if this is a sitcom or just another drama. I mean, there are hardly any ROFL scenes. There is a lot of crying, abusing, beating, thrashing, drama, but not comedy.

While the King is a fool and is hesitant to take any concrete steps.
There I said it.
But the Background Music.
I've rarely seen any drama releasing that. I wish they would release it since it's just so good.
It's just so good.
And kudos to the production design team for creating such visually appealing scenes and sets.
Like the instrumental music playing in the background.
My favourite BGM in a long time.

And the opening sequence is designed so brilliantly.

So excited for their dramas.
