Mystery drama, really well made. They spent lots of money to create atmosphere of early XXth centry, steam punk vibe. I really recomend watching this one. The more you watch the more you want to know what happens next. Two male leads are great. Hope for second season. In the end you can see that friendship between Jiang Shuo and Yi Heng that rose during this tale is really important.

I think they hadn't relased trailer yet. It became arleady famous, maybe it's combined clips of main actors other dramas or "unofficial" videos recorded by journalists and staff? I hadn't seen any of video yet :) It is said it will be aired on June. It's not 100% yet.
It's good that Shi Mei is woman. Guys imo everything has started with the Untamed. When they aired the Untamed producers wanted to show love between two guys but couldn't because of cenzoreship. They found other way to show their affection. People got hyped with it. Not only in China but around the world, TU spread very fast and become extremaly famous.
Which also counts as profit for other productions, for example dongua like HOB but other series becoming very famous nowadays after Untamed succes people became more interested in chinese dramas. So bl brings profit, people want watch it and that's the key. (there was a case that they wanted to put male-female romance in TU but fans raged/hope im not wrong about that) They had to make Shi Mei woman, there was no other choice! (might be little spoiler now)
All hate of Mo Ran towards ChuWaning was circling around his affection to Shi Mei and chinese cenzoreship say No to bl. It was smart move of making Shi Mei woman, now they will manage to show love of two male leads (of course using hints, little actions that has no meaning but they mean a lot) I believe it will be good drama. Producers will do their best, we will see as much as cenzorship allows.
I really recommend watching this if you like mystery, historical drama. Many people complain about humour but I really liked it. Comedy is light. I also enjoyed that it doesn't have many fillers, it focuses strongly on action. You can't be bored. If someone asks if it's bl - yes it is, of course it goes along with chinese cenzoreship.
