It's good, i recommend it.

It's a refreshing tale of ambition, revenge, and social justice. Park Sae-ro-yi (Park Seo-joon) is a determined man who seeks to turn his small pub into a global franchise while challenging the corruption of a powerful food conglomerate. The drama highlights themes of perseverance, equality, and acceptance, featuring a diverse set of characters like Jo Yi-seo (Kim Da-mi), a quirky genius, and Ma Hyun-yi, a transgender chef. The gripping plot keeps viewers invested, while the realistic struggles faced by the characters make it relatable. The drama is a perfect blend of inspirational storytelling, strong performances, and a catchy OST like “Start Over” by Gaho, i enjoyed it and rewatched it i love dami's acting and personality here so much seo joon hmmm is good but i think his character is a bit annoying in sometimes.

Shows you a deep meaning of love

*One and Only* is a beautifully crafted Chinese historical romance drama that captivates with its emotional depth and delicate storytelling. Set during the war-torn era of ancient China, the series follows the poignant love story between the reserved, honorable military commander Zhou Sheng Chen, played by Ren Jialun, and Cui Shiyi, a noblewoman destined for an arranged marriage, portrayed by Bai Lu.

What makes *One and Only* stand out is its subtle yet heart-wrenching portrayal of forbidden love, focusing more on unspoken feelings, loyalty, and duty rather than overt romantic gestures. The slow-burn romance is filled with moments of longing, sacrifice, and a deep bond that grows between the leads, all while staying rooted in the constraints of their time.

The cinematography is elegant and minimalistic, capturing the period’s aesthetics with muted colors and intricate details in the sets and costumes. The performances are top-notch, especially Ren Jialun’s portrayal of the stoic, emotionally complex commander. Bai Lu also shines, bringing grace and vulnerability to her character.

The pacing is measured and deliberate, which may feel slow to some viewers, but it’s perfectly in line with the tone of the story. The drama is a bittersweet journey, more about the emotional depth of its characters than fast-moving plot twists.

Overall, *One and Only* is a beautifully melancholic and tender romance that leaves a lasting impression, particularly for those who appreciate historical dramas with understated yet powerful emotional storytelling.

A Gripping Tale of Love, cheating and hidden lessons.

It's a standout and fresh romcom drama that masterfully weaves together elements of romance, slight comedy and beautiful aesthetics, it has a rich character development a bit slow but worth the wait, stellar performances, and enjoyable story. It isn't just a story about love—it's a tribute to youthful ambition, national identity, and the courage it takes to fight for what one believes in.
The main Character Zheng Shu yi shows that one can make mistakes in life, and lower his/her standard to the wrong people.. but life will give u the replacement as long as u move on from toxic people.

A Gripping Tale of Courage, Love, and Patriotism..

Arsenal Military Academy is a standout Chinese drama that masterfully weaves together elements of romance, national pride, and historical intrigue, delivering a compelling narrative that captivates from beginning to end. With its rich character development, stellar performances, and engaging plot, it rightfully earns a strong 9/10 rating.

Set during the Republican era of China—a time marked by political unrest and foreign aggression—the drama immerses viewers in a world of espionage, resistance, and personal sacrifice. At the heart of the story is the brave and determined Xie Xiang, portrayed flawlessly by Bai Lu. Disguising herself as a man, she enters the elite Arsenal Military Academy with a mission that soon evolves into a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and patriotic duty.

Inside the academy, Xie Xiang builds deep connections with her fellow cadets, each bringing their own charm and complexity to the story. Gu Yan Zheng, the wealthy and impulsive young man played by Xu Kai, stands out for his emotional growth, while Shen Jun San, a quiet and introspective figure brought to life by Toby Lee, adds nuance and heart to the ensemble. Together, they navigate the trials of military life, forming bonds forged through hardship, loyalty, and love.

Arsenal Military Academy isn't just a story about war and strategy—it's a tribute to youthful ambition, national identity, and the courage it takes to fight for what one believes in.

The costumes are so pretty yet the story lacks depth.

Some aspects of repetition worked well but on the whole I felt there was too much repetition and some scenes from other dramas. Too much going back to their school days and reliving the exact same thing over and over. The love story was very nice, their chemistry was good. But family life was not portrayed in a good light at all. No forgiveness, no real understanding of each other. One scene annoyed me and didn't seem necessary - when on the same day he was being checked in hospital for a wound and he'd had 8 stitches in his hand - she asked him to carry her and he did so without a problem... that seemed a bit odd. On the good side - it was about the possibility of healing and sharing the truth with people around you for support.
