This is my personal opinion,I came to the Trunk looking for mature romance and mature acting and thats what I got and am satisfied with this and they added a pinch of good visuals and perfect production.I you are a a fan of hardcore mysteries and dark psychotic tropes,maybe check something else
Very rare that I watch Variety shows but am glad I pressed play..2 of my favorites actors Ji Chang Wook and Park Bo Gum in one frame..What else can I ask for? I haven't laughed this much in awhile..and watching at the beginning of 2025 is a bonus..This is definitely a 10.0

Someone help me,I know Thai has some really good drama but how do you deal with the high pitched Thai accent? All the actors are absolutely beautiful men and women with talent but the moment they start to speak,my ears hurt.

It was a good watch, I really need more of these types of slow-burn mature romance type of C-dramas

Just finished re-watching this master piece and the special episodes,I had to find the writer and give her a bow. What an excellent writting.This is my second time and it felt like it was the first time i was watching it and the smile that stuck on my face from episode 1 to the last bonus episode will be hard to erase it. I hope she keeps putting out script for adults and real slices of life.
Elvis Han who plays Xu Zi Quan brought his natural talent to this drama and watching him leaves you in awe of how much flow of words,actions and mannerisms he brings to the table.He was paired by another veteran of the industry Elvira Cai who portrays Tang Ying character and their on and off chemistry was worth of an oscar. It was my first time watching her but just from this drama I knw she knew what she was doing.These two really need to be cast in another project..It was like watching two friends going head to head non stop,even after they got together,the banter didnt stop.Tey had the most mature communication and the misunderstanding were qcuickly solved.
They portrayed complex characters that can be easily misjudged but the way they navigated the growth from "play boy" to responsible monogamous fiance on his side and from a woman obssessed with work to her realisation that its not about working hard to reach the top but enjoying the moment.
This is the realest drama I have ever watched and trust me I have watched quite few in the 3 digts and I can tell you that this was a portray of everyday's challenges,negative and positive.The stories were real,the victories and failures were also real.This was really a slice of life.
I dont know who came up with the OST but wow..Again never in my history of watching dramas have I ever downloaded a full album of the music accompanying the drama.90% of the songs were in english,From all gengre including country music. Planning to rewatch a gain in a year or so,this is not something you want to forget.

aS if we didnt have enough diabetis from the first 14 episodes,the add more sweetness with a special episode.OMG the last 4 minutes of the special episodes was the best intimate moment i have ever seen in drama and i have watched many.This MAn Elvis Han should be known all over the world,i really hope he gets more main roles

I understand where you are coming from,I do watch lots and lots of Kdramas,Jdramas,Taiwanese and Cdramas,you can check my profile and i agree with you Cdramas tend to over do it whenever there is work place tag..If you watch "She and Her perfect husband" it was such a good one but the workplace stuff reall went on and on..There need to be a balance for sure...I beleive the fact that kdramas are normally short,they have to focus on the main trope.."Wa=hats wrong with Secretary KIm" is one example,of office trope minimized

This drama is forever engraved in my heart,even the name gives me PTSD i cried and cried..I ended up reading about Korean history and i promised myself to never watch any real life historical.Yes Junho really made a stellar performance,he is now on the list of my favotite all time actors
