Yes Hidden love was a good one..it's one of the few Chinese drama rated 9.0 on MDL and IMDb rated it high and it's not easy to get a high rating there

I understand he does lots of Historical which are not my trope but I just finished She and Her perfect husband..I think he did great..I love introverted character though he seemed to have taken that to another level with his robotic gaze but I o ow a good actor when I see one.
I tried Arsenal Academy(I love BaiLu) but it was too all over and I was maybe avoiding noise in my personal life.

Funny story,I found that I have seen She and her perfect husband going around in my rec but never thought it was him and I started it yesterday...it's surprisingly good if you can't get bored with all the legal mambo jambo which is a lot but once these two are on the scene it's a beautiful ride..it is slow and for mature audience but Xu Kai does a good job of being young while falling in love with a very bad ass Yang Mi..
They have a flow of conversation that I have not seen in many dramas..They are like soul flames..She might be older than him but he is her savior, without showing it..because naturally she is a strong person but sometimes strong doesn't mean rational..So he quietly in his own way becomes her to go man whenever she would be stuck with a decision.
And they are straightforward with each other..
Am still getting used to Xu Kai robotic mannerisms but it's ok..he makes it up with a man who knows his romantic powers..I will write a full review when I finish it

Go Ahead was good,I watched it this month and wondered why it took me this long..It felt like I was a part of it physically..I started looking for the writer's other works and she has casted Wei Sing in another drama I have watched

I also took long to watch Hidden love but once I came around it..I loved it

I have been zooming around Falling into your smile but I hate hate childish FL..but luckily I found "Her and her perfect husband" it's a long one with all type of legal stuff but at least I got to see Xu Khai .I believe he is a good actor but due to the fact that he has done too much historical dramas,he has a tendency to be a bit stiff and robotic..But am enjoying it because the FL is also a veteran and not shy with chemistry..they are really doing well on that front 😂

Oh yes..the crossing road kiss,now I remember how it went.If you have watched Road home,when they got together they had really good chemistry but again the ML is really good at this..though she was the one flirting with him more and everytime she did..he took over which I found thrilling..
The romance in Go ahead left me bitter but the show was amazing because of the family dynamic

I just watched 4 episodes and you hit the nail on the head with everything..I don't know how people went through 40 episodes of this
But I realized one thing about dramas of 2024..it's all about popularity of the actors..Xu Kai has a fan base so they will just rate anything he is in even if it doesn't make sense

Maybe am old but am trying to see what is so good about Xu Kai and unfortunately I dropped this though I was in for Tan.

I watched 4 episodes yesterday on Viki,I enjoy the live comment section there..it makes a questionable drama better.And am glad I checked out the reviews before continuing cos am in that era whereby I will not give up 2 days of my life for a mediocre show..
I love Tan as an actress and this would have been my 4th drama of hers but am afraid I will skip this..
You are right the only drama she really did well chemistry wise was "Road home"..maybe this is due to the fact that the ML Mr Jing BoRan is fireworks.
In "Go Ahead" there was no chemistry either with the eye candy Song Wei Long..
In "Flight to you" which was not romance based,she had one of the best kiss,again the ML Wang Kai is a veteran so he probably directed that..
Now am at the point where Am like girl how do you always get these heartthrob of actors and you can't pull off a Dilraba Dilmurat???
Nevertheless she is a stellar actress so she made my favorite actress list.
Maybe am old but I don't understand what is the deal with Xu Kai? but again the beauty is in the eyes of the beholder..I was shocked to see he is 30 while his face looks 19,
I was hoping this is the drama that will show me his acting skills outside his preferred historical ones but maybe another day.

Am actually surprised I didn't cry even though I expected it to be heartbreaking.. what will make you feel the emotions is the relationship between the ML and the "captain " of team Genie who brought the ML to volunteer at the hospice
