Thanks for the explanation. Even from the drama, you can see how the musicians are degraded and treated with condescension. I feel sorry for the three women and the betrayals they suffered at the hands of those they thought loved them. I truly enjoyed the drama and getting to know the historical culture of the Chinese people.

You are right, I want to know why she left and dad and brother to join the sect too at a very young age because she doesn't really have memories of her home anymore but only of her time at the sect. Her dad unlike Hei's dad is a good father. Even though he cannot tell the world, "that's my girl" he is very proud of who she became. Hei's father on the other hand felt threatened by his son and his accomplishments and would rather destroy everything his own son achieved than let him rise. Words cannot describe how much I detest that hateful father!
