I'm on episode 15 now, and it's gotten very good. No more boring scenes. In fact, it was a very funny seeing how…
@bethcha, I don't understand Chinese but I can understand even with the messed up translation from Mango TV. I felt sorry for the fatty one (aka new emperor) when his dad was still alive and was the emperor. But, when his dad died and he became the emperor, he showed his true color. His son and his first wife that stood by him then when his father always scold him are now treated with ridicule. The old emperor was right after all about it.

Yeah.. i suspect him to have a history with FL. Maybe he knew her from childhood
I have seen up to ep 22 and the 2ML does not have any previous relationship with the FL. I think it is liking the "popular girl syndrome". But the feeling is not mutual because she already likes someone else and she sees him as a bully because he bullies the kitchen bureau often. In one of the episodes, he was going to return her hairpin she lost (during an attack) but he saw her in a cozy discussion with the crown prince (ML) and he was livid. I am glad she does not like him back, he is a mean, petty, nasty son of a gun. I am upset with him because he hurt her in ep 21. I detest mean people!

Very disappointing.the show has 25+ episodes driven by amnesia plot, which basically forms the core of the drama.…
It is very disappointing as you said, going over and over a plot. There are so many ways to tell a story without overdoing a storyline.

I stopped at episode 42 and going by the last comments from this weekend episodes it seems that i won’t be resuming…
I agree with you. I am so upset with her obsession. She gave her first child away and lied to the father and she's planning on doing the same to her unborn second child. Why are some women so decisively evil? She does not care about the consequences of her lies to others, her desperate greed for what does not belong to her, it is so shameless!

As a matter of fact, I did and its okay to watch. The first 2 eps shows how it is sometimes difficult for a woman to "eat her cake and have it" career and familywise. It is so true in our society today, for a woman to be successful in her career, she has to sacrifice her family life and vice versa! But the drama is worth watching, so go for it!

I thought that as well. And the bit where he’s imagining her there and asking if she could just be with him…
Of course, the uncle wants to tell his wife but he wants to also protect his nephew's secret. The uncle is in a very difficult position, if you ask me!

If only children can choose their parents, a lot of children would not have been born by wicked terrible mothers.…
Perhaps if children were given a choice before birth to decide what sort of parents they want. We hear stories, read articles, or watch it on tv all the time that some parents are the ones that destroyed their children. Wouldn't it be better if those children were abandoned at birth and raised in an Orphanages by strangers? In reality, there is so much suffering in the world caused by parents that are supposed to love their kids the most. Its just my thoughts :)

Childhood trauma is not funny and it is difficult for people that had a happy childhood to understand the depth of the pain involve. The FL discovered the closet "shrine" by accident and he would never have told her he has a special place like that. He needs serious help to address that issue.

Saw a trailer and it looks like it will be good but maybe a little too real to make a comfortable watch.
It has to be real to be believable. I would watch the the first 6 episodes on Dramacool to see if it is my cup of tea or not!

If only children can choose their parents, a lot of children would not have been born by wicked terrible mothers. Orphans are the luckiest because they never get to meet theirs.
