In both versions, character development was lacking.

I think the writer included all those unnecessary parts to waste time.

To me, it’s not as bad as it’s depicted in the comments. The Thai version retold the story in a different way.

In Tao’s situation for example, the Chinese version never mentioned his parents or their involvement in his medical care.

Tao has to let go because he wants the best for Som-O and knows she can't get over Chad. That's a man's man, better known as a gentleman.

The Thai version of this drama is unique in itself because the original was not copied from scene to scene. So, the little changes gave it its own identity. Also, I love Dew's song. The lyrics told his story and everything. This version also has an in-depth version of the support characters' lives.

I prefer historical dramas. They not only show the time and effort spent creating the settings of the scenes but also the history, the people, and the culture of that time period. Whether fiction or nonfiction, they tell a little bit about how life may have been. To me, it's an education. Modern drama, on the other hand, provides a window into how life is now, the culture, and the people. It's another form of education for me.

I think managing the situation was getting too much. Gye got her back to her books to see what she really likes to do. She was studying or looking for what she was good at till the very hours of the morning took a toll on her. She also wrote down the name of the female serial killer in her text book.
Even though the reveal seems slow, it's appropriate. She's struggling so badly, and she'd rather leave her job than tell Gye her secret. So, she has to be caught transforming for both her parents and Gye to believe it's real. Let's see what happens in the next episode. She already left her job, so where will she go every day now since Gye now knows she's using someone else's name to work?

I think he's supposed to act like that. I also watched the Chinese version, and the ML was just like Dew. I think the problem is the women. Why on earth would a woman be hopelessly in love with a man like that as opposed to a man like Tao?

This is not about you or my problem. Many dramas feature women being obsessed with their childhood friends, and some even change their careers to follow the guy. Yet, the men see them as work buddies rather than their lovers. A good example is the just concluded drama, As Beautiful As You. As there is a delicate-minded woman, so there are stone-cold-hearted ones. Since women are emotional beings, the stone-cold ones must have been probably hurt by the one they cared for the most. There is also another category of women that remains untainted even with a bad experience. Those are the special ones. This is the psychology of women.

First, we need to find that damned CAT and then take it from there. It's so heartbreaking for her not to get her dream job as a job person but as a middle-aged lady. That's some bad karma. She must have really done something terrible in her past life😁😁😁

I agree with you. She should have shown her transformation to them as she did with her best friend, especially on the weekend. Seeing her change from their 29-year-old daughter to a middle-aged lady would help them understand what she's been going through. I think she got discouraged the first morning, and they got her arrested. It's a traumatic experience for her every day, keeping it a secret from her loved ones.
