I love this drama because it is stupidly funny. It reminded me so much of Gentlemen of the East 8th.

This is a very interesting short series.
The adopted fathers of leads are something else, asking them to sacrifice their lives for the greater good. Biological parents are known to do worse, disregarding the happiness of their children.

It is just as the saying goes, the evil men do live after them. Because of the relationship he had with his sons, the first one put a needle in his head to kill him, but he was saved. The second was lied to for him to kill his father. Everyone wanted him dead. The youngest prince refused to go back with him when he discovered there was a better way of living outside, where there was love and affection. The bad father scarred the little one for refusing to return with him. There is a special place in hell for fathers like him😊😊😊

Of course, he did his job exceptionally well. He was meant to portray a despicable emperor, father, and son, and he perfected the role brilliantly.

It was such a beautiful drama. The cast did an exceptional job. I especially like the life lessons of this drama, which tell the viewers that when life happens, one doesn't quit but makes lemonade from lemons. No matter the situation, taking one step at a time or a day at a time is all one needs to do to survive the hard time.

I agree with you, except for the part you said the emperor was great. How do you define "great? To me, he's a paranoid sadist. He killed all his siblings because he was the emperor, and his two oldest sons also died because they wanted to overthrow him. If he's a good father, would his sons have done that? Do you remember the scene when the empress dowager went to the funeral of Madam Hua? If you can recall what she said when she saw all the wives and children of her best friend. She saw a beautiful family compared to her family. If the emperor had survived, did you think Yanxi and Zhi would be married or the Hua men would be back from exile? He was a terrible human, in my opinion.
