Jealousy and Romance

So far, I have watched nine episodes of this ten episode drama and have enjoyed it very much so far. The plot is good, scenes flow smoothly and easily, and having a very pretty lad for our ML does tend to go down well. I understand why a big, strong strapping young fellow with arms like boulders would not go down well - all these young men are “soft” and “fragile “ - personally I prefer the former - but idols are put on a pedestal and are expected to stay there smiling!

I did not like the little orange haired …..lad, I found him to be wimpy, sulky and needy, but also selfish. He “likes” Dan in a romantic way, however Dan likes him as a friend, nothing more.
Along comes Asuka, with whom Dan has a connection.

He (Naruse) is jealous of the friendship, feelings between Dan and Asuka . When a photo of Dan and Asuka holding hands goes online, all hell erupts! The confusion is was it Naruse or someone else who shared the photo and then posted about it?

Asuka has left and is no longer their housemother, the band have lost their happy feel and Dan is miserable. He has found Asuka but not approached her. Sad, very sad. I so wanted these two to be together.

Episode ten brings the sunshine back. We move along another three years, Asuka is doing something, she becomes aware of someone near her, looks around and sees …Dan! Yes! He came back for her! Oh the sun is shining, my eyes glisten as I just know we are going to get our happy ending!

First comes the hand gold star ⭐️ then the hug!

Very Slow

If you’re expecting anything faster than a snail’s pace, then this series is not for you. What started out interesting and full of hope has become bogged down like a tractor mired in mud!
Forty episodes! If the producers cut out all the slow and oft times unnecessary bits and got this story moving at a decent pace, it would be so much better and I’d be so much happier watching it!
Don’t get me wrong, it is not that I dislike the series, it is just that it moves so slowly and our leads don’t share a kiss until the 30th episode out of 40 and it wasn’t really a proper kiss either!
It is 2 minutes before the end of episode 30 and our ML has finally, finally kissed the FL - too bad it was like a 10 second fatherly peck on the cheek!

What is wrong with the Chinese that their so called “romance” series are so slow? This series would have been better had it had thirty episode.

The Chinese historical series are excellent and I love them so why can’t the Chinese series set in today’s world be as good?

How To Kill Your Enemy in 50 Different Ways!

Well now! What can I say? The series looked good when looking at the posters, brilliant colours, lovely costumes although I do wonder if upper class females did indeed wear such a mountain of clothing and headache inducing hairstyles!
If you can believe that one person is able to avoid death after all the attempts on her life then you’re either living in fantasy land or watching a CDrama!

That said, it’s starting to become a bit predictive - it seems like it’s another episode of resting bitchface (Li Changle’s mum) trying yet another way of getting rid of Li Weiyoung or the old bat’s daughter scheming and making nasty comments and slapping around her sister or cousin due to her insane jealousy, her mind poisoned by her mother. Even so, she is still at heart a cold, mean spirited person who cares for herself only. Even her so called love for Tua Ba Jun is all about her.

It is high time she started getting a taste of her own medicine. Instead of being forced to sit through 54 episodes of yet another dastardly plot of “Let’s Kill Li Weiyoung”, the writer would have been better off with less attempts hereby giving us 25 episodes to watch. Even 30 is acceptable, but 54? I am starting to use the fast forward button now.

And another thing, I believe Li Changle should have been taken down and received her just desserts long before the end! I like the baddies to receive what they should - the punishment should fit the crime.
Unfortunately Chinese dramas fall way short of this. Which annoyeth me greatly!

Colourful Costumes

Rewatching for the second time, now I know why I didn’t get past five episodes! Well four and a half actually!
The first three episodes were good - interesting, captivating and then it went Psst fizzle stop,
By episode five I had to find reasons to keep watching, the storyline was weak without much pizzaz and the acting - well I’ve seen better in school plays.
The ML was wooden, no emotion he looked like he was bored out of his skull which is what I was!
My advice? Choose something else.
…I have watched many CDramas and enjoyed them all, but not this one.
