I just finished the first episode and I honestly loved it. It made me really happy to see how closely they’re following the novel so far(P'Dome mentioned there might be changes) I especially liked the flashbacks showing how PobmekSolar first met in college(SOLAR YOU BEAUTY) Those moments added so much emotional context to their relationship and Their dynamic also felt very natural and sweet and spicy👀 The little domestic details like the morning notes and wallpapers, alarms with each other’s voices made their relationship feel actually lived in. Pobmek’s chaotic time management was also way too relatable 😂
PerthSanta did such a great job(as expected) bringing PobmekSolar to life. Perth handled Pobmek’s emotions really well and made him very endearing, Santa balanced Solar and Sun in a way that felt natural and convincing. I just cant wait for the next episodes. truly his is gonna be the most heartbreaking beautiful series ever
I don't think they go for realistic characters. I don't also expect/need realism in bls. That being said I agree.…
Yeah, I agree that BLs don’t need to be realistic, and I don’t expect them to be either. But even in fiction, toxic dynamics can’t just be brushed aside without proper buildup or resolution. If they wanted to take that route, it needed more time, depth, and accountability. Otherwise it just feels rushed and unsatisfying rather than intentionally written.
SANTA IS SUCH a beautiful crier, oh my god!! and such a talented actor too. My heart was genuinely breaking for Aran, especially during his scenes with Thee and Peach. He felt so fragile and raw, my poor baby 😭 I just wanted to protect him at all costs.
That said… TawanAran really shouldn’t have ended up together. Even an open ending would’ve been so much better. Aran literally said he wanted to be left alone just last episode, and suddenly he’s on his knees in front of another man to get help for Tawan? It felt so out of character and honestly ridiculous. The reconciliation came out of nowhere and didn’t feel earned at all.
What bothered me the most is that Tawan showed zero real redemption. No proper apology, no accountability for his behavior.. and suddenly everything’s okay? That’s not how healing works. GMMTV really needs to accept that not every couple needs a happy ending. Sometimes a bittersweet or unresolved ending is far more powerful and realistic, especially when the relationship itself was so damaging.
