I was thinking of Kavin-Kaning and wishing they had more screen time. But then I remembered the Jp ver and im happy that their relationship at least wasn’t a joke lol.
I will be honest with you all I have NOT watched any adaptation of this drama because I HATE LOVE TRIANGLES. Someone…
The love triangle is only bad in Korean version. In the other versions there’s not that much of a love triangle. If you like this version, I recommend checking out the others too.
2 complaints to make. First the production team barely has anyone who is Korean. Second, the subtitles team has…
I recommend this article: https://www.harpersbazaar.com/uk/culture/culture-news/a39826441/pachinko-series/ . Excepting one role, all of the Korean roles are played by Koreans. Whether they’re half-Korean or just from America is irrelevant. They’re still Korean. And as the article states they’re also affected by the Japanese occupation because their own ancestors went through it.
Edit: Turns out Soji Arai is Zainichi. So all the Korean people are played by Koreans and the Japanese people by Japanese.
Hello, you are right but wrong about which scene. It’s actually when Ah Jin gets stuck in jail. The other inmate (played by the director) has darkened skin with make up 👀 It’s a blink and you’ll miss it moment.
I'm curious, what's with the original two posters? Did the leads get recasted?
Devil Sister was originally announced as one of GMMTV's projects for 2020. The original stars were Punpun Sutatta & Pluem Purim. But it got cancelled along with Military of Love due to COVID. GMMTV later revived the project but with a completely different cast & crew.
So i just started watching this and I'm quite confused about one particular thing: how can nadia be a drag queen…
Nadia is a trans woman while Noona is cis. I wish they weren’t played by the same actress lol cause it is ridiculous that they’re ‘identical’ or whatever.
Edit: Turns out Soji Arai is Zainichi. So all the Korean people are played by Koreans and the Japanese people by Japanese.
