Sadly the writer lost their way and I dropped it at ep 80. Sad because it was very decent at the beginning! I wonder if the actress playing Yewon was a relative? That's the only thing that makes sense of this story!
This was first drama over 30 episodes that I completed!! I only skipped 1 1/2 because they were just too intense…
Yoona is on my list, I just haven't watched this. I liked this one because the couple stories, while they had their ups and downs were totally separate. And their angst made sense. I truly did love this one!! I didn't know this was the same writer as UA! Now it makes sense why I loved this so much!!
this is really good but I don't understand why so many people like it better than Empress Ki and say she's more…
Wasn't so much the romance as I never expect them in these historical dramas, I was just bored and unfortunately I watched this one instead. See the problem?
Many of these I watched before I even started watching dramas. I've been a HUGE Asian movie fan since the early days of Bruce Lee, Angela Mao, etc. I admit I haven't seen any of the Japanese ones. Will have to look for them! Good list!!
I like it. This is my first Taiga drama and I definitely see the difference in Korean saguek dramas and these. This drama really focuses a lot of the history of the period. It also speaks to women's roles as Miwa/Fumi is one of the main characters.
A lot of people didn't like this because many of the main actors don't make it; however, as this features the Burmese-Siamese conflict, not sure what else you would expect.
Reading this post made me realize how much of LDW I've seen though I will still remain in the minority in NOT liking My Girl. You're right about Wild Romance, the drama started out so well and then the leads (and the story) got overshadowed by the second leads in the second half. I've yet to watch Blade Man but still plan on it. I really liked Mandate of Heaven...a lot!! And Hotel King? Class by itself!!!
