With all due respect to everyone's opinion, I think many here are making too much of a drama out of the sex part.…
And that is the crux of the story! These two are so tortured by their envirorment, the people around them, the disappointments in their lives, it is not about the sex to me. I find it fascinating in a way because of the people around them that has taken them both to the brink of suicide. I really am looking for the relationship to evolve where as Kei said, they save each other. Because these are two people that need saving!
And don't get me started on the absolutely wonderful cinematography!
Freaking depressing drama. I was depressed watching it as Aoi spiraled down the sex hole. No support for rape, no support from family and then to continue into the sex trade, very sad. I think the low rating is simply because of the story line. If only she had contacted Toshi before she started down her destructive path. But this is why I like J-movies, they aren't afraid of touching subject matters like these.
It's on Gooddrama now. Great acting. Good movie. One HUGE GAPING plot hole! Even in Korea rape kits are SOP. 7.5…
Well I guess I'm hard pressed to have any sympathy for the man. As far as the grandmother, did she push her? Was she there? We really don't know what happened other than she was there. I just find that women's rights in SK is piss poor, period. No rights to their children; little rights for anything else. No wonder dramas are an escapism. The morning daily dramas are telling! In the case of Do-Hee, that was one "monster" as you refer to her that was made.

As they are in a rural area, as they knew she was being abused anyway, I found that less of a plot hole and more of a statement of how the system deny children their rights. Not the first movie I've seen (whether fact or fiction) where children are totally second class citizens; hell women in general (see Azooma, The Crucible)
Damn, even I had to close my eyes watching that ending!! No fans of Jung Kyung Ho or Lee Tae Sung, you might want to skip this! Definitely not for everyone!
Excellent! I must say, except for Iris 2, I have high praise for all the dramas and movies listed. Giant is one of my favorite re-watch dramas! Yup, all 60+ ep!! Great article for a great actor!!
