Worst still are the mini dramas. Always the same trope, starting with FL giving birth to children of a rich CEO however FL had been drugged by evil stepsister who then steals the baby at birth, endless face slapping and throat strangling, physical abuse for first 50 mins of a 60 min drama and then the rush ending when in last 10 mins when FL and ML finally get together. Then there are always the people on the sideline giving their opinions or shaming the FL for being poor etc, these people get more screen time than the leads. Sorry for my rant but I had to vent when I saw your remarks about "using the whole damn show dillydallying". LOL I still watch them especially late at night when I can't concentrate on a major drama with 36 eps.
LOL I'm Chinese so this is not a racist comment. I notice among the older generation of Chinese who can speak English, they can't pronounced the LETTER "L" very well and somehow turn it into the LETTER "R". So the original name of song, 'Fly me to the moon' becomes 'Fry' me to the moon
Should have better ratings. I have dropped tons of big budget dramas with big name actors 2023, 2024 after a few episodes. This one I love although I have to admit around ep 2 or 3 there were a few scenes by the FL which was slapstick and cringey and unnecessary. She went from a smart girl to a clumsy idiot but thankfully it went away. It's worth the watch IMO.

But on some of those terribly formulaic mini dramas where the FL always gets drugged to have sex with a rich CEO, then evil sis steals the baby as soon as FL gives birth, evil sis and evil parents then try to kill FL etc There are millions on YT because each one racks up up to 500,000 views or more... I digress I have seen some real talented, cute child actors, amazing future star.

After watching the first episode, I concluded that like Chulan, you need 100% patience to continue on. This drama will not be to everyone’s taste. It is too zany with lots of overacting. The zombies are laughable. But the appearance of Neo Hou as a Wudang monk makes me want to give it another chance.
Episode 2 You need 100% perseverance to continue watching this drama. This looks like a college drama project. It is as rickety as it can get.
Just bear with the first two episodes, from the third, it gets really better and more interesting and not so slapstick.
I must say there are funny moments. I particularly like the scene when Baobao had to enter the passcode to open the door to their hidden room which looked like the HQ of Men in Black. If you think remembering Google-issued passcodes is impossible, Baobao’s passcode was ten times more complicated.
