A Japanese version of MARS?! I don't know whether to be deliriously happy or really scared... I hope it lives up to the Taiwanese version! *crosses fingers* :D
I agree with everyone else who said this is really clichéd, but OMG... I don't care! It's so adorable and addictive!
I don't care much for the sub-story/romance (with Bii & Chen Katie), but the main-story/romance is just wonderful! Chen Baron and Lai Megan have amazing chemistry together. All the scenes where their faces are so close together make my heart stutter. LOL! :P And I love how Lai Megan is a convincing "pretty boy". :)
But I'm really kicking myself for starting this one. I KNEW I should have waited until it had finished airing, but I couldn't help myself! Ugh! Waiting a week between each episode is torture... :(

That's strange... Are you sure it was KissAsian? I sent them a drama request (via Facebook) yesterday (because it wasn't listed at their site) and they replied, saying they would try to add it...
EDIT: Yeah, I just checked their site again, and it's not listed. You must be thinking of a different site.
I just watched the 1st episode last night, and I'm hooked! :)
I'm also really impressed with Han Dong Jun. It's my first time seeing him in anything, and I think he's a great actor! He's also a real cutie (what an adorably addictive smile!) and very funny in his role.
I'm really looking forward to watching the next episode, and I hope the series continues to be this good throughout its entirety.
The only negative thing I have to say is that the audio problems (the music is too loud during the speaking parts, and drowns out the dialogue) are seriously irritating. Why do so many Chinese (and Taiwanese) dramas have audio problems? *sigh* :(
I'm about halfway through episode 5 and I'm finding this drama extremely disappointing so far. :(
I was expecting something along the lines of "A Step Into the Past" (which I really enjoyed). But the costumes, props, and sets look fake as hell. And some of the settings even have modern elements that rip you right out of the illusion of being back in the past. But what's really killing it for me is the corny dialogue and silly, over-the-top comedy. *sigh*
Even if they didn't have a large budget (fake-looking costumes, props, etc.), this would have been 10 times better if they'd gone the "serious drama" route rather than stupid comedy.
I'm going to give it a few more episodes before I decide whether to drop it or not (maybe it will grow on me, or hopefully the pirates side of the story will become less silly) since I really do like the premise of the story. And I love Chan Ruco... he's a great actor, and really easy on the eyes. :P
EDIT: Dropped at episode 22. As someone else already said, this is like flipping back and forth between two separate shows. It's like they couldn't decide whether they wanted to make a historical political drama or a historical time-travel comedy, so they just decided... to do both. And the two don't really start to converge until episode 18. I find that really annoying and frustrating, and along with all my other issues with this series, I'm now starting to just get bored with it all. So... dropped. (I'm also in agreement with the other person who commented that the CGI is pretty horrible.)

EDIT: Yeah, I just checked their site again, and it's not listed. You must be thinking of a different site.
It took about 3-4 days for episode 1 to be 100% subbed at Viki, so episode 2 should be done around the 23rd or 24th. :)
I love this show, but the only version I've been able to find is hard-subbed. The resolution is small and the quality is very poor. :(

Part 2: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3cdrnr
Episode 1 aired today, and it's already 66% subbed at Viki:
