On Restart after Come back Home Jul 15, 2025
This film has left me wanting more. Definitely a comfort film to watch on rainy days. No drama, or stress just a simple story, beautifully acted. The overall story and different relationships that had been developed throughout felt unfinished though. There’s so much more story to tell, this is my only critique, but, this leaves room for a sequel? Anyway, it’s a good film!

It wasn’t that bad! I think some of the comments are pretty harsh to be honest. There are way worse films to watch than this. It’s a cute, feel good film. is the acting top notch? No it’s not great but it isn’t shockingly bad. Is the storyline amazing? No, it’s pretty basic. Is the script writing Oscar winning? No, it isn’t great but id say its average. Does it have a very believable kiss scene? Yes! Is there chemistry between the two main characters? Yes! does it have a happy ending? Yes! trust me there are WAY WORSE movies, than this one.

So after watching this and being a little bit confused by 1. The content only having a very slight undertone of a relationship between the main characters Young Hoon and Don Min and 2. The thumbnail/pictures promoting the short film which aren’t included in the film. So I decided to do a bit of digging! This short film along with another short film titled Young Hoon (named after the main character) was released for Korean film festivals in 2022. Young Hoon has the LGBTQ+ content, not that that matters, i thought Wind Bell was beautifully shot with a real consideration to the portrayal of unspoken emotions. But this shows Young Hoon (the character) reflecting on the relationship he had with Don Min (hence the thumbnail confusion). And from what I can gather with the bits of information I can find, this is done with a series of flashbacks. Now I can’t find this short film anywhere online (the 10 second trailer is available on a random FB page though). So I suppose we will never know what happens (unless GagaOOLala picks it up that is….. here’s hoping they do! So mystery solved :) if you want to look up the other short film it can be found here https://kisskh.at/741545-young-hoon. And the FB trailer can be found here https://fb.watch/zUJ4EbZhws/?. And if anyone knows where to find it online let me know!!

Chinese ghost marriage?! So I didn’t find this odd in any way shape or form. This was my interpretation of the wedding scene anyway. Grief does funny things to people so I didn’t find it odd that Jack still had conversations/hallucinations etc of Joke still being there, he knew full well that Joke wasn’t real in those scenes, it just took time for him to process.
