Min Soo is a product of his father... give him time to realize his mom's worth. I hope that's going to be a big part of the show. A LOT of teenagers have to go through a phase where they come to realize how awesome their parents are... I know I did.
Just from the expression on his face when the two of them both came back from clubbing at the same time shows he's going to start seeing his mom in a different light. Also, even though she avoided him at school by acting like she didn't know him, you could tell by the expression that it hurt him too... eventually he will be the awesome kid we want him to be... he's growing :) I have faith!
