She’s gotten two really good roles in My Absolute Boyfriend and Perfume! Representing real woman and not the stereotypical “big girl”! Love it!

Anyone have a place to watch this with English subs?

All of you who stopped watching this thinking it was going to be about only skinny people are beautiful should come back and catch up! It has a chance to be awesome even with the crazy plot!

One of the characters has a hurt leg

I think people who quit this in the first week are going to miss the main point of this story. Her gaining her self worth as herself is already starting ...as seen with the elevator scene in the Hanbok and the shouting scene in ep 8 where she basically apologizes to her true self. I think this story, if the writer sticks to the theme and doesn’t cave to the pressure, could have an awesome ending.

Honestly, they may be fat jokes at the character’s expense, but they also make her character so sympathetic. Who doesn’t feel awful when her husband pretends he doesn’t know her at the carousel. Or when she literally hates her body and self so much at the beginning she’s willing to kill herself (and her husband which I don’t necessarily blame her for he’s pretty scummy.) This is supposed to make you uncomfortable with the fat jokes. It’s part of the moral of the story.

I thought “Woah that could so be it!” for a second when I saw your post then my brain was like... wait did we see her mom? lol

Actually in this plot I can see why it’s important. There has to be a reason why they are connected. Why was she able to sense him at the beginning, and what made him save her when he knew he shouldn’t. I’m more upset with the look a like lover.

We saw her mom in the flashbacks with her dad and secretary jo. It could be a relative though.

I’m loving it so far, but I worry if they are going to stray from the original material...and if they do, I worry they will change my opinion of the manga :)

Ugh - I am stuck at episode 41 because it wasn’t released to my country!! The next one that works is 96!!! I am not skipping 50 episodes :(

I enjoyed this one a lot. I think some of the flaws came from trying to follow the original content a bit but at the same time the flow of the story was maintained. The characters all grew on me, even down to the uncle who had very little to recommend him. Great job breaking it all down in your article!
