Thanks for sharing your story as well. Your father is a good man. Fathers are extremely protective (especially over their daughters) so it didn’t surprise me that he taught you how to defend yourself. For some reason bullies only leave you alone once you stand up for yourself (in most cases once you hit them).

Having the boys parent(s) involved could have gone either way. I’ve seen some parent(s) blaming the victim and his/her parent(s), and I’ve also seen parents disciplining their child. Anyway, I’m sure another parent would inform his since I doubt you would have been his last victim.

I’ve always wanted to take self defense classes. Maybe I won’t be able to take down someone twice my size, but I’ll probably be able to do some damage to get myself out of a bad situation. Like you said these classes not only allow you to protect yourself, but also provide confidence and a boost of self-esteem. I think more and more people are for the idea of putting their kids in classes based off of the comments I’ve read on several YouTube videos.

What an important topic to explore. You did such an amazing job at educating me here.

Question, what do you do when the person you protected from getting bullied, made friends with, and eventually got everyone to become his/her friend starts bullying you? Would you stop helping those that are getting bullied or would you still continue to do the right thing. Unfortunately, this has happened to me three times. Twice when I was in high school and once at work. All three individuals stopped talking to me and started spreading rumours about me. Thankfully, I haven’t been in a similar position since, but I do wonder what I’ll do once I encounter such a situation. Would I turn the other way or would I do the right thing.

Just a side note, when I was in HS my 5-year-old brother was getting bullied at school. One morning he cried telling my mom he didn’t want to go to school because of what the kids were doing to him. My mom wiped away his tears and said “Stop crying, if they hit you, you hit them back, got it” and sent him off to school. When my mom picked him up after school my baby brother had scratches all over his face and told my mother “No one will be picking on me anymore”, and they didn’t. I always tell my friends who have kids if they can afford it to put their kids in self-defense classes. Unfortunately, we have a messed up system that protects the bullies and not the victims. If you want your child alive then YOU have to do whatever it takes to keep them safe.

Anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts on this, sorry that I wrote an essay.

Same here. From what I’ve noticed they usually post episodes a lot earlier for airing dramas than those that have already aired.

I hope so too. I do recall that when Viki acquired license for an already airing drama it didn’t take long for them to post the episodes (I think it was within a few weeks) they did this for a few dramas, so they might do it for this one as well. Fingers crossed :-)

Unfortunately, there's no way of finding out when episodes will be posted. For some dramas I waited 1-2 weeks and for others I waited 3-4 months. So the episodes may be posted in a few days, next week or in a couple of months.

I've had Kimi wa petto on my PTW list for three years now. I've always wanted to watch it, but for some reason never picked it up. I'm currently watching a lot of dramas, but once the new year rolls around it'll be the first drama I'll be watching.
