Me too. Shan Cai and DMS are perfect for each other. You should watch the Japanese version. They didn’t include everything you are seeing now, and the main couple were just as perfect as these two.

Haven’t watched School 2015, but I did watch School 2017 and I really liked it. The plot was ok, but I loved the characters and the chemistry between the two main leads. And yah, you’re definitely not alone. It bothered most people as well.

Your entire first paragraph is on point. His character development is the reason why I over looked much of what he did.

Violent people in real life will never change hence why most of us would run away. With dramas, how a character acts or behaves lies in the hand of the writer. If we see character growth then the majority of us end up being more forgiving than we normal would have been.

Wang He Di and Shen Yue are really cute together. I can’t get enough of them. BOF was my second Asian drama, and although I enjoyed it (mainly because of Jan-di’s best friend and her love line) I really didn’t like the leads.

Haven’t watched Rich Man (the Korean ver. yet) nor have I watched She Was Pretty so I can’t comment on them, but I totally understand why you stopped watching school dramas. From what I’ve seen so far it’s much better than BOF and the ML hasn’t crossed the line (except for a forced kiss scene). Anyway, if you ever change your mind you can always watch the first 2-4 episodes to see if you’ll like it. I would love to read you comments in this section as well :)

Same here. I’m very forgiving when it comes to certain actions and behaviours in dramas, but I would never tolerate it in real life.

Maybe Netflix is planning on splitting the drama into two seasons. Or maybe they'll add the remaining episodes later on.

Agree. I wished the writer hadn't used it in this version. I still think the bullying is much less compared to the other versions, including the manga. The manga was much worse.

Brownie, you should watch this one. I’ve only seen the first 6 episodes so I don’t know how bad the bullying is going to get, but so far it's not as bad as the other versions. The F4 aren’t pushing or picking on students, instead students challenge them. Once the F4 feel like the person is worthy, they will send them a joker card to indicate that they have accepted the person’s challenge. The F4 then send out a date and time for the challenge, which is playing bridge. Both parties make a bet and the loser has to do what the winner says. The FL doesn’t get bullied as much as the other versions, and she’s not annoying like Jan-di was.

Dao Ming Si is so much likable than Gu Jun-pyo and less of a jerk than him. Also, Dao Ming Si and Shan Cai have great chemistry unlike the main couple in BOF. This is just my opinion though, and hopefully others who are watching can let you know what they think of the drama so far.

Shan Cai and Dao Ming Si are beyond cute. The actors also have great chemistry.
I never had SLS when it came to this franchise, so I new Lei would have no effect on me, and I was right, lol.
