So you also suspect that YJ may not be Sang Hyun’s real daughter. I had a feeling she wasn’t his when Su Hee covered her mouth while talking to Hwa Yeon. It didn’t look like she covered her mouth because she was come with emotion but rather she was about to puke. I also have a feeling that Seo Joon may not be Woo Seok’s real son. I just don’t trust that woman. It would be interesting if SJ turned out to be the Secretary’s son. I mean he has been working for the family for years so you never know.

Mo Wan didn’t die. She’s in a coma right now. Once MX gets her revenge she plans on switching back with her sister. Once MX’s soul enters her own body she will wake up.

Oh no, I didn’t know it was on Amazon Prime. Maybe it’ll get licensed on Netflix or Viki since a couple of dramas on AP are also on those two platforms. Fingers crossed. If I do decide to watch it I’ll check out DC subs.

stalkerish way of course) and I always check to see what you are watching. I feel like we have similar taste in dramas (with what we have seen and dropped) so you are one of those rare MDL’s I checkout since my taste crashes with a lot of other users.

As for TROP, thank you. The drama is a masterpiece with well written dialogues.

Their relationship is goals. They are so happy and in love, and they treat each other with care and respect. This is something I rarely ever see from older supporting couples in Korean dramas. I understand why he has to die but it’s completely unnecessary. He could have easily solved this closer to the end of the drama, but no the writer wanted him to do it now so SH could end up with her first love. I’ll be heartbroken when he dies.

The sisters souls were switched. So Mo Xin’s soul is inside Mo Wan’s body and MW’s soul is inside MX’s body.

Same. I kept reading the comments below stating the drama was cut from 70 to 36 but they cut out so many crucial scenes. Cutting it down to 36 is a lot, there are bound to be a lot of scenes that won't make sense. Also, I feel bad for Chen Zhe Yuan. It looks like a lot of his scenes were cut as well. I know he'll get paid regardless but as an Actor I would feel bad not being able to see the hard work I put into the drama.

Hahahaha join the club, I felt bad for her as well. I always root for the wrong character though so I'm not surprised I did it again.

It’s so unfair that the writer is going to kill Kang Sang Hyun off. I loved the relationship he had with his wife. I just don’t understand why he has to die just so Su Hee can end up with Woo Seok.

My obsession with TROP has gotten so bad that I would hide away in the bathroom to watch 15 minutes of the next episode after my lunch break. The excuse I gave to my co-workers was that I wasn’t feeling well. They’ve started to get worried and bought me a basket of herbal tea and supplements for my stomach, lol. I felt so bad but I couldn’t tell them what I actually was up to. I always did stay behind after work to make up for the lost time though. I just resumed where I left off and the obsession is back, but I’m controlling myself this time.

One of the reasons why I enjoy watching Chinese historical dramas is because of how cunning and smart characters can be, especially the main characters. I’ve seen enough main leads making mistakes and losing every time to evil characters so that’s not something I want to see here. For now, I’ll put this off to the side and watch others dramas that are higher on my priority list. If this does get licensed on Viki or Netflix then I’ll watch it. I think with these types of drams it’s best to have good subs to fully understand and appreciate what is happening. Thank you so much for replying back to me. This makes so much sense now. I was wondering why Jin Yi was acting strange around Mo Wan and had a sneaky suspicion that he was in love with her but I couldn't understand how when that was their first meeting, or so I thought.

Just caught up to episode 22 and I’m absolutely loving this drama. This and The Promise of Chang’an were the ones I was looking forward to the most, but the latter was a disappointment and I ended up dropping it.

The FL is so refreshing. I loved her from episode 1. I loved the fact that she wasn’t shy about her feelings for the ML and was honest with him. I loved how SHE was the one that took the initiative to kiss him first. I loved Jun Qing reaction to the entire kiss scene. I laughed when he swallowed after the kiss. Poor guy never got to experience how wonderful a kiss can be since he’s been in love with Mo Xin for so long. I love how strong the FL is, and how she never wavered in her mission to get revenge on those who hurt the people she loved. I love how smart, ruthless, and compassionate she is. The most memorable scene for me was when she told Eunuch An that he’ll die by her hands then turned around to face the other concubines. That scene sent chills down my spine.

As for our ML, I can’t tell you how much I’m in love with him. He’s cold but yet soft, he’s distant but yet loyal, when he loves he LOVES. He’s such a great guy and you can see how much he loves his people and Kingdom. It’s very clear that he doesn’t care for the throne and would do anything to ensure that everyone is safe. He’s such a sweet man and I can’t help but fall for him in each episode.

I’m I the only one that did a happy dance when Consort Li’s mother and uncle died. I’m glad to know she wasn’t directly involved in Mo Xin’s death but I still want her gone from the palace. The fact that she killed her unborn child for such trivial reasons was absolutely disgusting to see. I hope she becomes infertile as she doesn’t deserve to become a mother.

Now let’s talk about Consort Shu (also known as cra cra by me). This woman needs serious help. The fact that she thinks she has a right over Jun Qing is laughable, and her obsession for him is disturbing. She’s married to the Emperor but wants the ML, give me a break. What she needs is a doctor for her mental health because this woman is so far gone that she needs to be slapped hard and brought back to reality. Sucks that she’ll be alive and maybe released from prison.

Now onto the Emperor. He doesn’t deserve the seat he is sitting on. He’s suspicious of everyone including his own brother. The fact that his brother gave way to him regarding MX speaks volumes of JQ’s character. He thinks his brother is out to get him when in fact his brother is the only person that’s on his side. As an Emperor he isn’t smart and doesn’t know how to read people. He has no allies on his side unlike the ML, and the only person that was on his side is now in a coma. How can you say you love someone when you don’t even trust them, regardless of the rumours. Trust is such an important foundation in any marriage, really in any relationship, and if you don’t have that then the relationship is doomed. Imagine being with someone you truly care and love, and you come to find out they don’t trust you. That is the most devastating feeling in the world. If you don’t know the person you’re with then you deserve to be alone. So far this drama is a 9/10 for me. Yes there are flaws and the editing is terrible but man I’m hooked so I’ll overlook the smaller details and just enjoy the drama for what it is.

I was looking to see if I recognized anyone in the comment section because I wanted to ask them a question and to my surprise I saw your comment, lol. So, I saw that you finished The Rise of Phoenixes (my current obsession) and I'm wondering if this one is as good as that.

Yoo Ra and her mother are both devils. What kind of mother blames her daughter for being sick, and tells her she shouldn’t have collapsed. Yeah, YJ should have fainted after the wedding. How dare she do it before then. I can’t wait for Mom to see YR’s true colours. It’s hilarious how she keeps blaming TP for getting her precious daughter knocked up when it was YR who slept with a guy so she could get to the top. The only thing that’s making me smile is knowing how many enemies YR will have :)

I found the confession scene both sweet and heartbreaking. Can’t wait for TP and YJ to confess to each other again and become a couple.

I didn’t recognize the profile picture of the actor that’s playing Seo Joon. He was the cutie from Happy Sisters. Shame he is a second lead here. Ugh, writer how I’m I suppose to choose between him and Eun Tak. Ok, back to SJ, I feel so bad for him. He clearly loves his father but because his father is still stuck in the past he hasn’t opened his heart to his wife or son. How sad is that. I’m really hoping SJ doesn’t team up with YR later on and turn evil.

This is just a guess but I think Su Hee is somehow related to TP’S family (maybe she’s his aunt). I think the woman that will find TP after the accident will be her.

All caught up. Ok y’all, I think we have a winner. After dropping so many dailies for the last 2 and a half years I think I found one that I’ll probably stick with. A lot of things happened in the last 10 episodes and I’m looking forward to seeing next weeks episodes. Now onto the drama itself.

I’ve been waiting for this, Love and Passion, The Love of Hypnosis, and The Wolf for the longest time now. I’ve pretty much given up on The Wolf. Waited 3 years and 7 months for it to air. Don’t know how much longer we will have to wait.

Neither of those characters I mentioned paid for their crimes so I have a feeling YR won’t either. If you are planning on watching this once it’s done airing I’m more than happy to let you know what her fate was.

I’ve watched two daily dramas in which the characters were not related to the FL. In both dramas these characters did some despicable crimes and in the end they were forgiven. I have no doubt that Yoo Ra will be too.

Definitely give it a try. I can’t say much for the overall drama but I did enjoy the first 3 episodes. Don’t let her voice deter you from picking it up :)

Hahahahaha at “banshee”. I haven’t seen L&R but her voice was high pitched in the first 5 minutes of the first episode. I could not bear listening to her and was planning on dropping it, but thankfully her voice became more softer as the story progressed. I’ve seen 2 episodes so far and her voice isn’t as bad as those 5 minutes. There are certain scenes where her voice is squeaky and in other scenes it’s not so bad. It probably helps that I don’t wear headphones while watching. I recommend giving the first episode a shot to see if you can tolerate it.
